Thanks for the 2010 explanation - although I still don't think it would take a year and a half to remove all troops, and I still am concerned about the term 'combat troops.'

It's possible Mr. Sabrin was just utilizing and respecting the information given by the Generals about how long it would take, even though Mr. Sabrin might personally think it's possible to do it sooner, too. I will call Mr. Sabrin to discuss my concerns. (thanks for posting the # and suggestion)

Just like McCain and other candidates suddenly 'talking about' the Constitution, Obama has been talking lately a lot more like Ron Paul regarding Iran - but both McCain and Obama have clear voting records (or in the case of Obama, a no vote record as well) that vividly display they do not honor it nor uphold it... no offense meant to either Obama or McCain, but both of them fail to hold up their votes under the light of the Constitution and the principles of the Constitution, something that we must start demanding of our elected leaders... and of ourselves.

Also, I'm pretty sure this has been discussed on this forum before, Obama has spoken at Council on Foreign Relations meetings - an international council that has a clear cut agenda to end sovereignty in all nations and states -

which is in direct conflict with Obama's oath to elected office and to the Constitution of the United States of America - to protect our rights and our sovereignty - this is the other part of things that concerns me. Our elected leaders should not be attending meetings with an international group of people with a clear agenda to "redefine" (end) sovereignty... that's treason.

I'm not suggesting that people not support nor vote for Mr. Sabrin - I'm just pointing out the concerns with the Obama comments in his open letter as well as questioning Sabrin's own foreign policy with regards to the use of 'combat troops' instead of 'all troops' and the 2010 timeframe in regards to how we would afford it and if it's Constitutional.

Not that I don't trust Ron Paul's endorsement of Sabrin, but each of us must research candidates and their platforms (and statements) on our own as well. It's our responsibility to question everything - not questioning things is exactly what got us into this gigantic mess.

By the way, you made me cringe a little more by calling Obama's foreign policy more 'Traditional Taft' - did you do that on purpose? lol - Obama's foreign policy, by the way, has changed dramatically since it's been posted on his website... I've been watching the edits to it since summer of last year - it's been interesting to witness, but also very, very concerning.


I am thankful Obama is in the presidential race, though - he created a mass of voters that are now seeking the truth & logic, constantly approaching Ron Paul supporters, and as they research their choice, they will eventually end up at the core of things, back to the facts, back to the foundation and principles of the Constitution - I'm hoping that over the course of spring/summer/autumn that we can educate as many Obama supporters as humanly possible to reconsider voting for 'hope and change' that isn't sustainable (nor Constitutional) under the plans Obama has, and to actually vote for the changes they want, with a plan that can actually work and that absolutely abides by the principles of the Constitution (re: Ron Paul's.)

Obama has called the preemptive strike as wrong and he has spoken out about nation-building (view his original speach against the War in Iraq). What you have to understand is Dr. Sabrin is not siding with Barack Obama's complete foreign policy but when you compare Senator Obama with Senator McCain, Senator Obama has a more traditional Taft foreign policy than Senator McCain.

Regarding Dr. Sabrin's promise to bring all combat troops home by September 2010, I asked him about it when he called me to thank me for my donation to the campaign: he said it was a practical timeframe where Generals have said they can systematically remove the 150,000 combat troops within that timetable. Keep in mind Dr. Sabrin is not in the U.S. Senate YET! So he will help bring these troops home within 1 1/2 years from going to the U.S. Senate - please identify another U.S. Senate candidate making that promise? If you cannot support Dr. Sabrin because he doesn't promise to bring the troops home within the first week he becomes a Senator, then I don't think you can be satisfied.

Perhaps you should do if you are serious about supporting Dr. Sabrin's campaign (either by voting for him if you live in NJ or by donating to his campaign) - call his campaign office in New Jersey (201-332-3422) and ask to speak with him directly. He seemed very approachable when he called me earlier to thank me.

The Freedom movement could NOT find a better candidate in 2008 then Dr. Sabrin - that is why Dr. Ron Paul flew up to NJ to host a fundraiser for him last month.

Slight correction...he was born in West Germany.

Dr. Sabrin was born in Bad-Worishofen, West Germany, on December 21, 1946. His parents were the only ones in their respective families to survive the Holocaust. Sabrin arrived in America with his older brother and parents in August 1949 and became a U. S. citizen in 1959. He lives with his wife of 39 years, Florence, in Ft. Lee, New Jersey.
