When we just tried to call our Congressmen's Washington phone numbers we got the same automated message from two different Congressman's phone numbers!!

We're sorry this number is no longer in service, yadda yadda yadda.

So, then when we called our state phone numbers and someone answered, they said, the phone lines in Washington have CRASHED!!! LOL

Which is it, over load on the phone lines or ARE THEY disconnecting their phone lines so they can no longer hear from us????

Great. Bailing out the telecommunications companies is next on their Santa Clause list.

LOL. Also regulating the interwebs will soon follow. Their servers are crashing when you try to use their contact forms.

They did the same thing during the Amnesty vote. They were getting so many calls, from people on both sides, they got sick of it, and just disconnected the phones for the whole congress.

you've got to be kidding me.

This is bs. What good are they if they don't listen to us? Oh wait. Silly me, I forgot, they are only listening because the elections are right around the corner.

I just contacted Senator Enzi's office so list the offices of these congressmen as they must be doing it unilaterally. Make a public spectacle out of them! I would suspect the problem is probably volume. The problem could also be a non-functioning toll-free number if you're using one of them.

I was able to get through to my Congressman's office this morning, but that was about 3 hours ago. My call was picked up on the first ring. Maybe I was lucky?

I was calling the switchboard all day. I stopped about 1:00pm Eastern.
They should be open now .. :D

Calm down, for heaven's sake. All the important lobbyists have their private phone numbers!

Just called Congresswoman Foxx. They answered on the 2nd ring. Told the guy who answered the phone to congratulate the congresswoman on her vote yesterday, she was a patriot, and I would be supporting her 1000%.

Earlier I sent local e-mails saying that she was 1 of the few who met my standards to even be called a REPUBLICAN.

That's the message I want our local politicians to hear. Then maybe they will change.
