There is a facebook group called "hispanos por ron paul". I am thinking of a doing a facebook ad for it for the coming Florida primary to turn out more voters for Ron Paul. though targeting hispanic republicans is rather hard.. so I currently am targeting all repubs/conservatives etc... but I am thinking, if I do it - I might be alienating non-hispanic repub voters or putting them off.

Your thoughts from a proper marketing standpoint.

I just feel odd about the collectivism in the groups, but Spanish ads are a good thing I think. I guess everyone has their own take.

Good idea. The Hispanic population is growing and they want peace in the world. Ron Paul's message of freedom and liberty for all will bring them to vote for Ron Paul.

Cost ? vs. benefit ?

I can't say anything about the costs...
Benefit would be taking over the third place from Santorum, thereby increasing the chance of him dropping out after Florida. I don't know if Hispanics are reliable voters in a republican primary, though.

I understand that the Cuban American community are strong voters.

Ok then the ads should target the Cuban trade vs. isolationism issue. Maybe link to the Newt vs Ron on Cuba video.0 Is Newt 2nd behind Ron amoung Hispanics?:

Maybe somebody here can creat Spanish subtitles for this video?

My concern is that i cant just target hispanic republicans. I have to target all in florida so my concern is alienating non hispanic repubs.

The cost is low

Yes. Romney has Spanish ads all over the air down there. I imagine his team has weighed the voter cost / benefit accurately.

I'd do it on NDAA the Patriot Act etc. I honestly think those from more represive regimes tend to see these laws for exactly what they are. We don't have much in the way of Cubans in California, but we have Russians and eastern Europeans. and they find Obama and these laws deeply disturbing, the ones I know.

Is it much more to target people that indicate they speak Spanish?

I say do it. Most people feel the need to identify with a like-minded group. It crosses the line into collectivism if the group is exploited, or individuals within it are expected to give up something for the good of the group. If that isn't going on, then it's fine in my book. just my .02

My girlfriend is form Russia and she would absolutely confirm that. Her parents were politically persecuted, they've witnessed the horrors of a police state.

So only 3k out of 540k speak spanish? Why would you send spanish ads to people who don't speak spanish?
It is not a "spanish" ad. It is just an outreach to show that Hispanic Republicans Prefer Ron Paul over the others. I want to "up" that support from 41% to higher, if possible.
