Hillary's biggest single day fundraising was $1.9 million, NOT $6.2 million

This thread loses points for failing to consider the effects of wikiality.

If you don't know what that word means, look it up...it DEFINES our generation.

This is from the press release we put out after 11/5:

"It is also the biggest fundraising day for any candidate this election cycle, surpassing Mitt Romney’s FEC-documented record $3.1 million, which he raised on January 8, 2007, and Hillary Clinton’s FEC-documented $1.9 million on March 28, 2007, which was her largest single-day haul. "

The 6.2 million number was NOT a single-day number and even Hillary's people dont' claim that.

June 30 2007 was HRC's 6.2 million dollar day. I think it was a benefit concert, and I suspected at the time they were pledges and not actually cash receipts.

No they are not. And they have not been all quarter.

Think about it.... someone would have to sit there and manually type in the information.

Actually when one of the contributers was having trouble earlier he posted that he'd called to do it over the phone. The woman input the donation on the web site. She told the guy that she had no problem putting his donation in through the donation page.

This tells me that this time they have people entering the donation for those who don't have internet. by inputting it the same way you or I would.

I find it very hard to believe that Clinton's best day was only $1.9 Million.

$1.9 million is what she raised on March 28, 2007. I don't think anyone was saying that was her biggest day (unless they change the number to $6.2 million).

Check out the FEC

Actually, the day-to-day fundraising totals from the FEC chart are wrong. For one thing, they don't come close to adding up to the total that each candidate raised for the entire quarter, because only donors who gave over $200 are counted. The campaign isn't required to give details on smaller donors. Also, the FEC reports include HUGE numbers for the last day of each quarter - Hillary gets like $8 Million on one day, which is obviously absurd.

And as for the person who claimed that the $36 Million from the 1st quarter included stuff from previous campaigns/fundraising.... I'm not sure about that. But she raised $27 Mil and change in the next 2 quarters. So my fundamental stat is still there, that she has averaged about 1/3 of a mil per day.
