I think if we can substitute the alt right with the neocons for the most part, the liberty movement's standing within the GOP and conservative movement goes up a tremendous deal.

I can safely assume that most libertarians don't want to be swallowed up by the encroaching international movement. It's a natural relationship. Most people in the Alt Right want a smaller, less powerful state (if not altogether eliminated) that is not opposed to the freedom of choice.

That's one faction of the Alt Right, more in the Jared Taylor sphere of influence. I don't agree with Taylor that some mythical white nation is the solution to our woes. As I see it, we have a major human nature problem, that is being intentionally exacerbated by waves of foreigners, who are being strategically utilized as the witless dupes.

Furthermore, I am diametrically opposed to forced diversity via government initiatives and cultural marxist tactics that conveniently lead to big government solutions.

The Alt Right is wide and encompassing in terms of diverse thought. The real unifying commonality is their lust for the destruction of the existing establishment.

It makes perfect sense for the Dems to encourage the alt-right: same reason they vote for the the weakest GOP candidate in open primaries.

For example, if you were opposed to the monopolistic nature of Obamacare, government critics assailed the resistance as racists. This is simply the wrong time and place to take on the alt right, but the Clintons are old dogs with no new tricks.
