I don't like it. We can't afford to be disruptive to people's commutes. This is exactly the kind of stuff we need to stay away from.
The video showed what looked like two police vehicles on the shoulder.
I would bet my life on it that the traffic didn't slow down until the police came to tell the guy to lose the balloon.
I am still trying to figure out how you get improper lane use in the sky ??
It did float last night at Stone Ave. and Rutherford Rd.. We even had illumination shining up on it after dark, which worked out very nicely. We had a lot of honks and thumbs up, as well as a few sign-wavers, distributed some brochures and such. It was good exposure and plenty of Police and Sheriff vehicles passed by and we had no issues. The Channel 7 News Helicopter hovered around it for awhile too, but I didn't see the news, so I have no idea if it was shown.
It is currently inflated in Simpsonville, to reach a different set of eyes!
It's already relocated. You are wrong, but it's already relocated anyway, so no need to keep harping on this.I could be wrong but it may be better to find a cleared-up section of road to re-locate the balloon to if that is possible.
Liveandletlive, We were with plenty of billboards... not sure anything gets quite the attention of a hot air balloon in a tight spot. It was awesome.![]()
Don't be so quick to believe what the slimedia say. You should always, always, ALWAYS assume that they are lying. If you had read the whole thread, you would know: the slimedia were lying. Shock, I know! The balloon did not cause a traffic jam. This was a horrible idea. Oh boy a hot air balloon. The only thing this balloon did is cause a HUGE traffic jam, and that pissed off a lot of South Carolinans who now will not vote for Ron Paul... Think people...think.
I usually do assume they are lying, but this is common sense. A hot air balloon on the side of a highway will always cause traffic to slow... Please explain to us how this was not true and a lie...
Please go bitch someplace else. Thank you.
