Thank You! That's exactly why I chose that spot. They just spin it, as they need to.
traffic is already there period ask anyone in greenville except the lying media.

I don't like it. We can't afford to be disruptive to people's commutes. This is exactly the kind of stuff we need to stay away from.
That's not going to win any votes.![]()
The video showed what looked like two police vehicles on the shoulder.
I would bet my life on it that the traffic didn't slow down until the police came to tell the guy to lose the balloon.
Theirs 4 miles of traffic damn near every morning right their. Everyone in greenville knows it.
Jim is exactly right. That spot was chosen as traffic ALREADY backs up during that rush hour before the I-385/Woodruff Exit, and contains billboard advertising clearly intended to reach that traffic. Once traffic backed up further than normal, the balloon was promptly, and respectfully, removed. As is usually the case, once people saw HP lights, the traffic slowed to a crawl as people slowed to see what’s going on. We were respectful and were not in the roadway or anything like that. We were in an area PROFUSE with billboard advertising and were simply advertising our candidate on that dead end Frontage Rd.

I just spoke with Michael, the van guy here in Greenville. He & his wife have been generously providing a place for the two man Ron Paul balloon crew. They Choose this specific place in order to be recognized. they were back off the highway a good distance where large billboards are erected for the same purpose, which is to get attention without obstructing traffic. Once it was brought to their attention that traffic was backed up they respectively deflated the balloon.
I have already received phone calls, well texts actually, from people outside the movement. We have a few more voters that I am aware of because of this..
if you have any ideas where they might tether please go to one of many South Carolina facebook Ron Paul pages.. We're all working together here in the upstate to bring attention to the message of liberty and freedom that Ron Paul will bring back to this country.

The reporter said it was a danger? How is it any different than a billboard sign?

They sure are spinning it now on national News. CNN anchor: "South Carolina commuters and Highway Patrol not very happy with a Ron Paul supporters who's balloon deflated and blocked roads, backing up traffic."Well, it sounds like the media is distorting and spinning this against Ron Paul, as usual. On the other hand, anything out of the ordinary could potentially back up traffic. A ballon is unusual compared to a billboard. Once the Police are there, all bets are off. Some people nearly come to a stop when they see Police.
Ha, ha, ha! And a few more South Carolinians see that they are lying through their teeth. They lose trust in the slimedia. The brain fog begins to lift. And they vote for Ron Paul. They sure are spinning it now on national News.
