Hey, we're still dying over here!!!

Thanks for keeping this out in the public eye. Will forward article to others!!!

Best wishes Dan, unfortunately I am not aware of any liberty candidate running in the Carbondale area. There are way too many socialists in this state.

well since the campaign is off, and i no longer have to worry about "reflecting poorly on dr. paul" i'll go ahead and say it...

didn't those 195 volunteer?

It is the iraqis I feel for.

Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori

never bought it.

Nice Article Dan. Read every bit of it. I will try to relay some of it in my blog with a link of course.

Everyday on average: 1.2 die, 9 wounded Americans.

And it sounds like suicides back home might be even higher. We need to get them out of there and give them the help they need.

Yes they did, and are the same ones charged with actually protecting this country if the need should arise. I can tell you first hand there are a whole bunch that do not want to be over there and do not support the war. And you can not just "get out" even if your enlistment is up or you are eligible for retirement because of the widespread stop loss that is in effect. It's the worst kind of back door draft.

The primary charge we voluntarily enlist for is to defend and uphold the constituion, neither of which is being done in this war. To be sent away to fight an unjust war under false pretense is not what you volunteer for. It was allowed by the general public and Armed Forces end up paying the ultimate price. I hope one day the need for military would go away, but that is not the world we live in as of now.

It does not matter who you "feel for", gettting us out of that mess solves both problems and saves lives. And no it is not "Sweet to die for your country". Most would rather live.

They volunteered to protect our constitution, not the Iraqi constitution.
