Hey NASA, Watch This!

well the just said in the text stream that the dude is getting his suit on. they are streaming something...

Cn anyone advise me on what I'm doing wrong? I am not getting a live feed on this. It keeps saying that the subscriber hasn't made the video available

I saw this on the news this morning. How is it possible for a human to go that fast in a free-fall? I thought terminal volocity peaked at 70ish miles/hr for a human.....although in thinner air its probably possible to fall faster?

It would be a real trick if he could be in orbit and then do this stunt. Of course he would probably burn up in the process.

I believe that right there is the reason. Without an atmosphere he wouldn't have a terminal velocity. Of course, there is always some atmosphere, but at that altitude, there isn't enough air to cause the resistance required for that particular terminal velocity.

Without knowing any actual details about his suit, I suspect the suit significantly alters his weight to surface area ratio also, which would have a big impact on what terminal velocity works out to be.

I fear the key words there are "terminal" and "big impact". Not trying to be funny, really. All of us so inclined should be praying for this guy and his loved ones.
