Hey, Chuck Baldwin supporters!

You HAVE to, eh?

Yes, because I feel I have too, because the LP selected a travesty of a candidate, so now I feel forced to select the only other person of integrity who is closest to my beliefs.

I will gladly vote LP in the local elections, but as long as Bob Barr leads the party and runs for President, I cannot and will not ever vote for him. In fact they should throw him out. I do not support Neo Cons in disguise.

When people say things like what you say it reminds me of why I often identify myself as an anarchist. It really does.

I'd say the only thing that really turns me off to Baldwin would be his sexist views. Is wrong for men to stand up for women's rights? I've always stood up for women's rights, regardless of what my fellow men have said. Well, actually they accused me of being a closet sexist when I wouldn't vote for Hillary...

That's actually quite a small issue in this race, though. I agree with him on everything else I've read, though. Not that I've read all his positions yet, but I hope to shortly.

Baldwin is a joke. He has zero political experience. The guy is a pastor of some small community church. He's a conspiracy theorist who sides with the 9/11 "truth" movement. He believes women should be barred from serving in the military. The guy is a theocrat who believes God has summoned him to run for President to stop the "New World Order" and "North American Union."

Give me a break.

DOesn't matter. If his views closely represent mine then he deserves my vote. Besides, he worked hard for Ron Paul.

LOL i find it extremely hypocritical that this forum condemns Palin for her Christianity and heralds Chuck Baldwin who is a Christian MINISTER. I can't take ya'll seriously anymore LOLOL... Tones

You are an anarchist? Your precious LP is not exactly an anarchist or radical organization. Real anarchists like Sam Konkin abandoned the idea of voting a long, long time ago...

It might have something to do with Chuck Baldwin running on Ron Paul's platform, and Sarah Palin running on a neocon platform.

If so..why bring her faith into it? Chuck Baldwin is a Christian minister...that seems to be OK with the Baldwin supporters...but not ok for Sarah Palin. amusing. tones

Being a Christian, I think it's retarded to judge a politician based on his or her faith. I have no problem with Palin's Christianity, as one might expect, but the reason why so many Paul supporters should be turned off by her is her neocon agenda. Her stance on war is a big turn off with me.

Baldwin certainly wears his Christianity on his sleeve, which is a turn off (reminds me of Huckabee's pandering), but his views and policies are in line with Ron Paul's for the most part.

Murray Rothbard, one of the founders of the LP, believed in a degree of government activism.

And who said I was an LP? But I can't lie. LP's platform is the best.

Okay, I asked the girl who gave the info on the sexism to send me a link. I normally trust her to give me information like this, but I think she took it to a bit extreme.

Anyway, here's the links she read to try and persuade me to vote Obama instead. I'm still trying to convince her to vote Baldwin.

One of the articles really slams the use of psychotropic drugs to make kids mind, which I highly approve of, although blaming a kids inability to learn on the mom isn't always true - though it is sometimes.

As I said in my above post, though, views such as these are of little concern to me when the economy is collapsing all around us, there's war going on constantly, etc. Besides, sometimes he has a point - like it or not, women can be just as sexist as men, and I don't mean to offend women by saying that. It's just sad that my female friends have such a hard time moving past these smaller issues. Maybe it's just a guy thing to show little concern for this type of stuff, but I don't see any reason why Baldwin should be condemned for not wanting women in the military and stuff, especially since there's no way he can remove women from military positions. It's just silly to me.

Needless to say, Baldwin gets my vote anyway.

True, but I know way too many "radical" feminists who have still pledged not to give him their vote, and they sure aren't listening to me. Actually, most of the wanted to vote for Hillary.
