Herman Cain Herman Cain's shameless 9/11 advertisement

Paid for by friends of Herman Cain, Inc.

Never, never, never, never forget? Is this a dive-bomb satire ad? Like, did Cain record this song a few years back and someone outside his campaign do this?

It was posted on "The Herman Cain's" YouTube account. So even if it was made by the PAC instead of the campaign, even if it was made by some spoof org instead of the campaign (it was actually made by his "friends" PAC) it was posted on Cain's actual YouTube channel, so he must endorse it.

I'm no Cain fan but I'll go against the grain here and say I don't have a problem with this. Cain sings God Bless America, which is the standard 9/11 go-to song. Cain shows images and footage of what happened on 9/11 and then images of America coping with and dealing with the aftermath. Well Boo-hoo. I suppose what people are pissed off about is the graphic at the end showing that he's running for president - well what do you expect - he'll sing a song to commemorate 9/11 and then not identify himself while he's in a presidential race?

I say we need to reupload it on You Tube with possibility to like/unlike and post comments. Someone able to do that?

The people posting Ron Paul 2012 on cain's youtube page are NOT helping.

No, I think people are pissed off about how overwrought the ad is calculated to be. Yeah, the campaign ad thing was in poor taste, too, but I think there's an additional layer there. It's just tasteless no matter how you look at it. I'm all for removing the stigma associated with 9/11, but in a way that doesn't stigmatize it even further if that makes any sense.

The song should have been left out or released separately, not as part of a campaign ad. Then it still would have been weird and in poor taste, but not as damaging or...irritating as this "official" maneuver.

Yes, seriously. What is wrong with posting "Ron Paul 2012" on Herman Cain's Youtube page? How does that hurt?

When everyone and their brother is flooding his page with 9/11 stuff calling him every name in the book.
With Ron Paul 2012 right in the midst of all that going on.
Do you really think that's going to help?

Maybe I'm just delusional but that doesn't seem like a good point to convert people to Ron Paul on.

I imagine Cain exploiting 9/11 for presidential points (unaware that it will backfire) is similar to Paulers exploiting Cain's campaign implosion for presidential points (also unaware that it will backfire).
