Hey!

Ron Paul came and spoke at the University of Washington today! I got my constitution signed and all! I also had the opportunity to film him using my el-cheapo digital camera.

I'm probably the worst cameraman in the world, so I apologize for the wobbliness. My batteries ran out TWICE while doing the video also, so about 15 seconds total was lost from the speech. Anyway, once Metacafe is done processing the uploads, they will be here:

This is actually in the square outside the HUB on UW campus, but yeah, Paul was just standing upon the steps. He could have used a mic, but overall it was awesome. Great turnout on short notice.

Yep, i was there. Nice crowd. Very loud.

I thought it odd he didn't have a PA system, but then thought, hell, he;s preaching to the choir, at least most of us were.

He went inside to give a talk to students.

There were a half dozen people with signs standing in front of the steps Ron was on, that said...WHATS YOUR PLAN...FOR GLOBAL WARMING...you can see the backs of their signs at the beginning of the vid.

My understanding is the UW student newspaper, THE DAILY, didn't advertise Ron coming to the University.

It was really nice to hear him speak in person today. The crowd was huge, and as soon as Ron started talking, the crowd basically silenced to listen, then cheered, then listened. You could hear a pin drop when he talked, the crowd was that engaged.

He has a lot of dedicated supporters here.

I'd say there were over 300 people there, possibly a lot more. It seemed like a lot of people came out of the woodwork when he started speaking.
