Um, it will only get ugly if half-brained dimwits don't comprehend the point of what he was saying... Don't get swallowed up by it, use your head.

No one will have to issue an apology. It's not really hard to take his whole statement and understand what he was trying to say.

Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. Huckabee is attempting to use the Cross and Christianity to further his own political ambitions. How many leaders throughout the past centuries have done the same for self-proclaimed virtuous reasons only to leave death and destruction and misery in their wake.

First off, if I'm not mistaken, Ron Paul IS a Christian. Why should a Christian have to apologize for being concerned about Christo-fascism?

Secondly, if you haven't noticed, Huckabee has turned the Republican primary into a holy war with Romney. The more time the media spends covering which candidate believes what about Jesus is less time the media spends covering which candidate believes what about the issues.

Apologize? No way! With this one comment, Ron Paul's clout with civil libertarians and independent liberals/progressives just rose tenfold. It would be incredibly shortsighted of him to muck up such an opportunity.
