At the rate were getting co-sponsors we WON'T be anywhere close to a 2/3 majority by the end of this month. Ron Paul's retiring in Nov. so it's now or never. :-/

Has anyone tried using PopVox, if you have a google account you can login with it and they can notify you of bills that are similar to what you track, etc...Then you get a "heads up" on bills as they come up. Also, it allows you to see an overview of how your rep and senators have voted compared to your support/disapprove votes. And, shows how other popvox users are voting on the same bills, with comments.

I can already hear President Obama threatening to cut off campaign funds for any Democrat who supports this bill. Veto proof is possible, but it is very difficult to get. That is why we need more conservatives and Republicans. If you look at the co-sponsor list for both the house and senate version, you can see that most Republicans end up supporting this bill. Not one Democrat in the senate, and very few Democrats in the house have announced their support for this bill.

Let's keep up the fight though and hope for the best!

226 of 241 (93.8%) House Republicans have cosponsored HR 459
43 of 190 (22.6%) House Democrats have cosponsored HR 459

It should be easy to convince the remaining 15 Republicans to cosponsor the bill.

There are also 44 Democrats who cosponsored HR 1207 in last Congress who have not yet cosponsored HR 459.

If you know other people interested in this issue, get them to contact their Congressmen.

You can help call other Congressmen. Most of the time, they don't ask if you're a constituent but to be safe, you can find a zip code in their district in case they ask.

You can write letters to the editors.

If you know how to get the liberal media to report on this issue, that would help the most. They have been completely silent this year when they were a huge help two years ago. We need to find a way to get HuffingtonPost, DailyKos, etc. to write on this like they did two years ago because without Democratic support, this will go nowhere.
