Hey guys, I'm going to open a brokerage account, (FYI I'm living in Singapore). Can people here recommend a good one that can stand up to the dollar collapse. I was thinking about Europac bank (Schiff's off shore bank for foreign customers) but its not very flexible. Looking for alternatives that are safe. ( I'm looking to purchase gold stocks, agriculture stocks and Asian stocks).

Thanks

If you're living in Singapore, then why don't you just open a brokerage account with a Singapore bank?

They have stronger balance sheets than any US bank.

Only drawback is you won't be able to invest in US securities (I think).

But anywhere else, you're good.

Ok so i guess my question is if the dollar collapses what ripples will be felt around the world. Banks in Singapore are amoungst the safest in the world. Could the whole system collapse and even safe banks be affected.
