LA is one of the biggest cities in the world. Would it really kill RP's schedule to have him speak at a large venue the night before? There are a LOT of us in San Diego that would be willing to drive up that weekend for a real rally Sunday, but relatively few that can take off work on Monday. And even fewer that will go just to sign wave outside the library, only to be ignored by the media (as I recall happened 4 yrs ago at the same debate).
