A friend of mine posted the following question on facebook today:

"How do you people that voted for Rand Paul feel about the fact that he's already taken close to 2 million dollars from the chamber of commerce?"

How would you answer this question? Is his claim even true? I'm not sure where to find the info.

Thanks in advance!

1) He hasn't taken a dime from the Chamber of Commerce.
2) They spent that money opposing Conway for a number of reasons. Some of which are: Obamacare (The subject of all their ads), Card-Check, waffling on Bush Tax cuts, and more
3) The most conservative members of the House and Senate get the worst scores from the Chamber of Commerce scorecard. Ron Paul literally got the worst GOP score in the whole report. And in the Senate guess who is NOT a corporate toady, the "evil" Jim DeMint.
Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., had the most conservative voting record in 2008 according to the American Conservative Union (ACU), and was a “taxpayer hero” according to the National Taxpayer’s Union (NTU), but the U.S. Chamber of Commerce says his 2008 record was less pro-business than Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton.

Corporations like their welfare much, much more than free-market capitalism. It just so happens they hated the Obama/Conway agenda more than they hated the Paul agenda, this time around. It wasn't an easy choice for the Chamber as some left-wing hacks who disregard reality just to smear a Republican think it is. They've also supported Democrats over Republicans. See Joe Manchin in West Virginia.

Also if being opposed by the Chamber of Commerce is the standard of being anti-corporate than Rand Paul wins there too since the Chamber actually opposed him in favor of Trey Grayson.
