The hubris of these people is unbelievable. Never mind. It's totally believable.

Heidi Cruz said Wednesday that her husband, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), was showing America "the face of the God that we serve" through his faith-based Republican presidential campaign.


Cruz said in an interview with South Carolina radio host Vince Coakley that she would support her husband's campaign even if she weren't married to him because of his religious values.


"We are at a cultural crossroads in our country, and if we can be in this race to show this country the face of the God that we serve—this Christian God that we serve is the foundation of our country," she said. "Our country was built on Judeo-Christian values. We are a nation of freedom of religion, but the God of Christianity is the God of freedom, of individual liberty, of choice and of consequence."

According to the Bible, God made man in His own image. All men. That includes Muslims.

(Yes, I realizes he is probably just making statements he thinks will be politically popular with the particular audience she is addressing)

By claiming her husband is a "good Christian" it implies that the others are somehow "bad Christians". "If you love God, you are gonna love my husband because nobody loves God like he does!"

I vote almost entirely on policies. But I will say Ted Cruz's wife is extremely off-putting. And so is Ted Cruz. Both are very difficult to listen to.

When I listen to Rand or his wife, I feel like I am listening to real people. Even people with revolting views like Santorum and Trump sound normal. Cruz and his wife are grating. I don't get how this is so appealing.
