He Speaks! Comment here on the POTUS speech

I like having the talking heads tell me what I should think about what Obama said. It's so much easier than thinking about it for myself.

I know! They conveniently tell you who wins debates, who to vote for, and what to think of war! Isn't it amazing?

I'd like to see Ron Paul as a talking head after these kinds of speeches.

What pisses me off is the talking heads always represent either the Republican-neocon or Democrat-liberal-big-government POV.

Yeah, the feed sucks. He's hard to understand without the audio problems but that makes it worse.

Standing before a nation on an economic precipice, President Barack Obama aimed to balance candor with can-do Tuesday night in his first address to a joint session of Congress. Millions more anxious Americans were tuning in on TV.

Obama was arguing that his still-unfolding economic revival plan has room for—even demands—a broader agenda including dramatic increases in health care coverage and wiser, "greener" fuel use. He was addressing an ebullient Democratic congressional majority and an embattled but reinvigorated GOP minority as well as worried viewers at home.

In case you missed my point...look at the time this story was written. 3:22 p.m. ( US EST )

I actually agreed on a couple things, skeptical on some and bored on the rest. It was a lot of the same poo he's been spewing. I had to use some skill to reword his sentences into phrases like: state owns your kids, indoctrination, socialism, protectionism, bailout, bigger government, etc. I really just wanted to find Ron Paul in the crowd. Anyone see the middle eastern guy sitting near the wall on the republican side? (obama's left) Is that our next treasury bond buyer?
