In our community, they are talking about raising the age to mandatory school through age 18. While this will lower the drop-out rates, it won't make kids any smarter if they don't want to learn and be there.

Here's an idea. Take away the social programs so they won't have the same crutch to lean on as their parents.

College is overrated. Some of the most creative and brilliant minds our world has seen have come from "uneducated" individuals. Also, "uneducated" doesn't = stupid.
