Kansas City firefighters and HAZMAT crews are responding to the Federal Reserve in Kansas City on reports of an "unknown substance."

Employees in a cash processing area were taken out of the building. One person had a reaction when they came into contact with the substance while handling a bag of money.

KMBZ's Bill Grady reports that employee was taken to the hospital. Several others were also decontaminated and treated at the scene for breathing problems.

The employees injuries are not life-threatening.

The Federal Reserve released a statement saying, "The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is working with local authorities on an incident that appears to be isolated to our cash processing area."

Somebody probably knocked over some non-dairy coffee creamer. Panic ensues.

Any of those employees who had breathing troubles from nothing were just hyper inflating the situation.
