Hawaii Caucuses Start NOW!

every vote counts =P

In the general election, Hawai'i has the same four electoral votes as New Hampshire.

but at the GOP convention they are more important than New Hampshire -
and their 20 delegates are close to the 30 that Michigan has for the convention.

Also, it is a great place for publicity -
because people go back to the mainland after their vacation -
and of course on Oahu their is a substantial military presence.

How about big Ron Paul rallies in the parks along the Kihei coastline?

If Hawaii picks Dr. Paul, I'll seriously consider retiring over there. I've visited four of the islands, and LOVED them all.

Hey, you guys can bump this thread until the cows come home. The Hawaii people involved in the caucus already know about this and are heavily involved. Those that aren't, don't read these forums. I know you all mean well, but like there's been about 20 bumps on this thread, and I think I'm the only Hawaii person, who lives in Hawaii, who wrote something on this thread. =p

The thread was started by a guy in Maui....I bumped it because somebody asked about it.

Here's a article talking about the Hawaii caucuses, couple RP mentions. Btw, it looks like we won't see any 'official' results till Feb. 5.

"I would not be surprised to see people at our caucus say, 'Vote for me, I'm a Rudy Giuliani or Ron Paul guy, and I want to carry his principles to the convention,'" said Bob Kessler, chairman for the Waikiki district. "There might be some Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee guys sitting on their hands and saying, 'Yeah, right, like I'm going to elect you as a delegate.'"

"None of the Republican candidates has emerged as a favorite in Hawaii. John McCain, Giuliani and Paul are most frequently mentioned, with Romney and Huckabee seeming to trail."

and will be back again when da' time is right.

Aloha nui loa, everybuddy.
And bump away, at least until caucuses are over -
Hawai'i has MORE delegates (20) than New Hampshire's paltry haoles with 12 !!
