Ever since supporting Paul?

I've been a democrat all my life and was planning on voting for Hillary Clinton. Intially I started supporting Paul because of his foriegn policy views, but now I'm finding that I agree with him on everything.

I guess that makes me an old school conservative-libertarian lol

Anyone else's views change overtime?

I was lucky enough to room with some hardcore Birchers in College, so I don't remember ever having different political views than those of RP. I am certainly glad that more and more people are learning about the principles of freedom. It makes the journey far less lonely.

Mine haven't changed so much, as I've considered myself Libertarian since about 1993 when I read Peter McWilliam's, "Ain't Nobody's Business if you Do".

I have, however, become much more educated on the Constitution, civil rights, political philosphy and politics in general since about May, when I found out Ron Paul was running for president, which motivated me to learn about these things in depth.

I didn't care at all before. The way I saw things, Republicans and Democrats were the same. They both said one thing but then when elected they did whatever they wanted.

Bush for example stated that he did not believe that our troops should be used "for what's called nation building" and I don't know how many billions of dollars he has asked of Congress for reconstruction in Afghanistan and Iraq/

Now Paul is different... You can see videos of him from 20 years ago and he still has the same message. You can look over his entire career in Congress and know that he has not violated his word one time. He is certainly someone that you can believe will do what he says he is going to do and not do what he says he won't do.

Before MR Paul I didn't even think of myself as part of this country. I didn't consider myself as part of any type of Government even though it is supposed to be a Government of the People for the People and by the People.

Now, my voice is being heard all over the nation with every single Ron Paul sign!

It's been said before but it fits here:

"DR Ron Paul cured my apathy."

I wouldn't say so much they have changed as they have been refined.

Thomas Jefferson was a member of the Democrat-Republican party.

The Republican party used to be good on economic substantive due process and bad on procedural and substantive due process.

The Democrat party is good on procedural and substantive due process but bad on economic substantive due process.

Ron Paul, a Democrat-Republican like Jefferson, is good on economic substantive due process and good on procedural and substantive due process. He takes the best of both and leaves the worst.

My views have changed. I have voted for DEM presidential candidates in the past. With the kind yet mistaken idea that government was generally good and that taxing us to send money to the poor was a noble thing to do. And deep down I think many DEMS thing this way even if they can't verbalize it. Now I know that government is not good and there are much better ways to help the poor. I am not turning back. RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT.

I was a hawk who was very fiscally conservative and states-rights on social issues. I started supporting Ron Paul because I decided that fiscal responsibility and states-rights were more important than my views on Iraq.

But Paul convinced me on that one too. I'm fully a Ron Paul Republican now.

Dr. Paul has made me look at issues and certainly the constitution differently (accurately). The biggest breakthrough for me has been learning what IS and IS NOT within the jurisdiction of the Federal government as laid out in the constitution. I learned SO MUCH by watching Michael Badnarik's Constitution Class on Youtube. Once I watched that nothing has been the same for me ever since. I now look at every issue and ask myself: "Is the federal government authorized by the constitution to deal with this matter?" Unfortunately, most of the time the answer is "NO".

For example - Our federal government is using OUR tax dollars to investigate and regulate steroids in professional baseball. It's absurd.

I urge everyone to watch the Constitution Class whenever you can. You'll learn SO MUCH. You'll feel so empowered with seems like secret knowledge or something. It's VERY good b/c you really begin to understand what RIGHTS really are.

I am embarrassed to say I actually thought Obama was a good choice because he talked about the constitution a lot....then I watched freedom to fascism and understood that I understood nothing.

After Arron Russos site send out an email saying Ron Paul was "the guy" I started to support him based on one thing....he voted always based on the constitution.

During this whole time which started in late February/early March for me, I have had to look up obscene amounts of information about the founders, this country, politics, and the constitution in efforts to help my case in debates and on questions, and I have learned more this year about these things than in the entire rest of the 32 years I have been alive.

My understanding of history, political process, and politics in general has increased many many times over this year...even now as many of us learn about the delegate process, signature gathering, ground efforts that do work, etc, my new found political knowledge is coming at an increased pace and not slowing down at all.

BTW, I should mention that the biggest change in my beliefs came from my newly found knowledge that we here, the grassroots, can change what the major media relates to this country, and that we CAN effect elections.....I felt hopeless and helpless regarding politics before this.
