I believe it is important to know your audience and make the best impression you possibly can. Can it bring in new voters or convert voters to Ron Paul. If you feel we can do better than "For Liberty" please explain how we can make it happen.

It is good for what it is, and it is not a film made to promote Ron Paul as a candidate for President.

It was my impression that For Liberty as it was originally produced was for the Ron Paul audience. I have not watched the new For Liberty.

I've watched the abridged version, not the full version. Is it supposed to be a documentary about the liberty movement? I had a hard time trying to find out what I was supposed to take from it, other than it just documenting the movement.

That is fundamentally all it is.

I've watched it. It's good. But it's not the best for converting new voters.

Yeah, it's by supporters for supporters. Really the only 'tribute' to the movement that I like and actually love. It didn't make me cringe like most of the cheesy stuff out there does.

It was really fun to see the whole movement and that whole year consensed into an hour. Kinda relived the excitement from 2008.

I think it is pretty harsh to say it won't convert anyone ever when we have testiments on these forums that it HAS converted some, however, it is true that wasn't what it was intended for. It documented the Ron Paul Revolution grass roots movement and motivations during the 2007 campaign.

If I were coming up with the best video to convert, I might go with some others mentioned to give more position substance, and which are shorter. I think For Liberty is fantastic, but BEFORE someone supports Ron getting them to watch a video that long might be tough.

The point in the other thread is that that is what people who donated thought was going out, which is more an expectation of donors thing. It is a great video, and is the one that was chosen, when people were asked to donate. For a different effort, there are many videos, but while I can send a friend some of those on youtube, I don't know if RevPac can send out Stop Dreaming, for example, by Avaroth, which uses American Pie as the background music.

For Liberty was the final kicker in my becoming a Paul fanatic. The same thing happened after I showed it to my sister and kids (one who will be old enough to vote for Ron in the primary!). It is an excellent follow-up after providing information on Ron Paul's stances. It made me feel normal for my enthusiasm for Dr. Paul, I realized there were so many more out there like me!!

When I was reawakening it was one of the first things I watched. It re-energized me and got me back into the movement for 2012. It has converted a few people that I know, but I think it is more effective at bringing the old guard back.

"The only one we can trust" is great for converting people.

I think the main point of For Liberty for converting people is that it actually makes people get to know Ron Paul supporters beyond the rude argumentative kid who spams youtube with RP2012 who storms every poll. It shows his supporters as real, well adjusted, passionate (young) people. So I'm open to the idea that it could make a difference. RP supporters are a roadblock to a lot of people, simply because they don't want to associate with the type of supporter that is presented to them by the media and forming tribes is what people are all about. So you want to make 'RP supporter' a type of tribe people would wanna associate with.

I've watched it a thousand and one times and will periodically when I need a spark of inspiration. Great documentation of the rEVOLution's beginning.

A great video, but not for old supervoters, they get turned off by a bunch of kids standing around screaming "RON PAUL"

It's a great documentary for what it is, but I'm not sure how effective it is as a voter converting tool.

Why can't RevPac just get a company to burn 100k copies of "The Only One We Can Trust" or another good promo/issues video that will be a lot cheaper to produce than "For Liberty" and potentially convert more voters?

I agree this is not the video to send to people via direct mail, but I strongly believe we do need to send them videos.

This is what was going to go in the super voter mails right? I watched it... it was interesting, but I was highly skeptical of it converting FOX news viewers in Iowa to vote for Ron Paul. If anything... not to be pessimistic, but it hardly highlights RPs principals, or positions. I found it out of place for "converting" people, maybe young kids but not your average supervoter.
