Have you bought the CD or Itunes of Ron Paul supporter Kelly Clarkson?

Honestly, I think it's more than a little silly, and lends credence to the view of Ron Paul supporters as fanatics in a cult of personality. Surely we don't all like her music that much! I bet she's a great person, but her music is not to my tastes, so why should I buy it? If my goal is to spend my money supporting liberty, there are more effective things to do.

If Kelly Clarkson supports Ron Paul I am glad for it, but I'm not going to be complicit in essentially bribing her to maintain that support. If she was going to withdraw support in the face of criticism, then what good was her support in the first place? And now we may never know how strong her support really is.

But anyway, if you LIKE her stuff, that's something else, and I really have nothing but best wishes for her.

Yep. If you're trying to send cash her way, buy concert tix and merchandise. That usually gets artists more money in my experience.

As sad as it sounds, celebrity endorsements carry a lot of weight. Maybe this will lead other artists that support Paul to come out and say it, especially if they see they're not going to lose money over it. JMO. I think this is silly, but could have some very positive outcomes to it also.

We are in crunch time... I don't really know understand the point of this... the campaign really needs money. Unless you maxed out, why would you give 10$ to a record label instead of the campaign?

Encourage other artists to support Ron Paul...if they want record sales.

It's at #2 now, and the goal really isn't "get her money". If it was a "get her money" we should have a Kelly Clarkson chipin. It's a story with the headline "Ron Paul Supporters Are Mighty." We don't need to keep her at #1, but it would be nice to get her there.
