Has the Revolution ruined any movies, shows, etc. for you?

Games ruined... Civilization, Sim City, most - where it requires you to be a social engineer.. lol

I like trying to play those games with no taxes.

I play age of empires and try to follow the principles of no taxes, friends with all...alliances with none, I don't attack other countries...

My economy was in great shape, all of my citizens were happy...

It really does make the game a challenge and you certainly have to get through some tough times (early attacks are the hardest) but you definitely become the most advanced and wealthy nation in the end.

QFT - I just looked at the red pill many years ago and then could not watch any more new StarTrek-TNG's (the 2nd or 3rd season).

Gave up ALL live TV a few years ago ('cept for select movie DVDs).

I especially noticed it during the Star Trek Voyager series years ago. It got so political (regarding plot themes) that I just didn't want to watch it anymore.

You will also see this blatantly when actors (or singers) promote their political philosophy, which generally is the Democrat Party platform, or some social agenda. It pisses me off, so I try and separate their work as performers from their politics. That helps.

I don't know if ruined is the right word for me. I have certainly started watching movies and television in a far different way and notice things I NEVER would have before.

Just the other night I was channel flipping and paused on The Big Bang Theory sitcom. It was doing the usual intro (or whatever you call the thing they do in the beginning of every show...lol) and many scenes were flashing very quickly in somekind of succession. I wasn't paying that close of attention and have no idea what the other scenes were but one of them was the pyramid with the eye on our dollar bill (Illuminati/Masonic symbolism). THAT one my eye picked up. One has to wonder what the hell that has to do with the Big Bang Theory. I wish I could get a recording of the intro so I could go through the other scenes slowly to see what they depict.

What I cannot watch anymore is the news. It literally makes my blood pressure rise. If I was a dragon, flames would spew forth from my mouth and melt my TV while watching the news. Getting that angry on a regular basis isn't good for me so I just don't watch it anymore.

I can see subtle propaganda in virtually every Hollywood movie. Once you take the red pill and ditch the blinders, you can never go back.
Yep.

Don't even get me started with Tomb Raider..........

SO TRUE! True true true true! Everything in the news is a string of propaganda, and I've seen it first hand. The flood in Washington isn't all that bad, it happens every year, but they make it seem like it's the end of the world. I saw them cut and edit out parts of the Snohomish river to make it look more dramatic. They were down by the soccer fields (which gets flooded even if there isn't much rain), to make it look dramatic! Yet the river was barely over the park! GAH!

*punches wall*

No kidding! I have family all over Western Wa. They were all "WTF is the problem"? I can't remember. Was the news trying to tie it in w/Global Warming?

Ohhhh....I was just googling something and I see that is a current event. I was thinking of last yrs (or the yr before?) "catastrophe". I better call my family to make sure they haven't fallen victim to the deluge...lol.

I'm So mad now, the Revolution totally ruined my favorite Star Trek series. I began to realize that the Star Trek Federation showed classic signs of Communism.

'A lot has changed in the last 300 years. People are no longer obsessed with the acquisition of 'things'. We have eliminated hunger, want, the need for possessions. We've grown out of our infancy.' - Picard

And how did this 'change' come about? Did Obama become President?

Whats with so many people mentioning 24... I couldn't stomache that show long before I even knew who Paul was...

Daily Show/Colbert Report

Use to think they were funny, now all I see is liberal propoganda

Yeah I can't enjoy those shows much anymore either...

I don't know anything about Star Trek, but surely they meant they eliminated things like hunger through technological means? And people do become less material driven once their material needs are met, but I don't think human nature is as maleable as that quote implies.

The really sad part is they had to send Kiefer Sutherland ("Jack Bauer") to Westpoint to explain to the cadets that it is JUST A TV SHOW and that TORTURE DOESN'T ACTUALLY WORK.

Well, it's not just this quote, but maybe I shouldn't have sai communism.
It advicates a 'perfect' Socialist Utopian society. Many signs within the series point to this.

I did the same with Sim City where I had a surplus with no taxes after makig neighborhood deals and limited spending. The town threw a parade for me.

For example:

Now, when I play games like Call of Duty 4, in the back of my mind I'm thinking, "Well, my character shouldn't even be in Baghdad or wherever he is in the first place."

Or when I watch the show Fringe I think, "That's nice, but my tax dollars are paying for her FBI operation to investigate crap."

It's ridiculous, but I can't help it now.

Star Trek has become globalist NWO propaganda!

The movie "Independence Day" is another NWO propaganda movie. Movies that I do enjoy are "Enemy of the State" which is about the dangers of things like the Patriot Act. The other one is "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson.

It's ruined most television for me. When I watch television, in the back of my mind I think, "This is what they use to hypnotize the sheeple." I read more lately.

EXACTLY how I feel. Nothing reporting "facts" on TV means squat to me anymore. I prefer to read online.

I still watch some mindless TV shows (comedies, dramas etc) and those are not yet ruined for me.

College sports seem pure enough too for me, except the college commericials at halftime claiming "how good they are" and in the back of my mind all they do is bellyache about how much the need to raise tuition because "the state didnt help them"

Well that's fucking interesting.

I've always enjoyed a lot of socialist and even fascist art. Among the great achievers of the arts, especially theater and its offshoots in opera and modern TV/movies, there are about 2 libertarians, and they don't stand up well.

It's amazing how frequently collectivist windbags make daring, accomplished, individualistic art, never recognizing the contradiction. "Don't hang the painter with the painting" is the standard cliche.

Perhaps the most shocking thing that's happened to me in the last couple years was coming to see Star Wars Episodes I-III as insightful commentary on tyranny and political corruption. I used to think those movies sucked balls.

Television is Social Engineering. They don't call the shows "programs" (programming) for nothing. You want to see into the future, start watching childrens cartoons and movies (don't forget to watch for subliminals in them). Programming works best on young children (5 and under is optimal).
