If you get in a conversation with a Christian, be certain to ask them what they think about the war and if they think our troops should come home. Ask them if they would rather keep that tax money and use it in their church to send a missionary with a Bible to the Middle East, instead of the government using their money to send a soldier with a gun to the Middle East. If they say it's too dangerous over there for a missionary, just bring up how God delivered Paul from the Jews in Acts, David from King Saul, and Joseph from his brothers when they tried to kill him. Ask them which they think would make a bigger difference there. It will get them thinking in the right direction in using the scriptures as the litmus test instead of just some guy claiming to be a pastor. Also, from what I understand, most people in the Bible-belt use the Bible as their authority, so if you can use the Bible to show them what is right for our nation to do regarding the war, then they will believe it simply because of the scriptures.
