This was an e-mail from someone in my meetup group.

I got a call from a friend in Bradenton last night. He saw someone on Cortez Road taking down some Ron Paul signs around midnight. He pulled up on him real quick with the high beams on hollering "What are you doing". He said the guy had a panicked look on his face, ran to his car and burned rubber as he pulled away. He put the signs back up the guy dropped as he ran away.

Depending on your area that may not be legal, because in some cases it is illegal to put anything onto a telephone poll with any "tack-like object such as a nail, screw, or large staple". Zip ties can be done completely legally though.

Just looking out for fellow RP'ers.

I had a 2' x 3' or so sign out in the yard in front of my office and somebody decided to snag it in broad daylight while I was out to lunch. I'm not discouraged though, I'm getting back. I'm building a 5' x 8' sign tomorrow digging postholes and setting it right.

They're disappearing in spots over here. Some places they go quick, others they stay up forever. I made friends with the old man putting up the Romney signs though... I offered him some advice based on the city code (he was perplexed as to why his signs were disappearing... he's probably 75-80 yrs old). I didn't want him to think I was pulling them up, so I pulled over and talked to him, we shook hands and both promised we wouldn't pull up each others signs. So... I DO know it's not him doing it, but in some areas someone is doing it... out comes the Crisco, lol!

i went out yesterday to put up the last of my signs i had been saving for this weekend. i put them up at several intersections along county road 220 in the middleburg/fleming island area. several hours later i drove back thru the area and they were gone. but the good news is some other rp supporter had come thru and put up even more signs!! lol! GOOD JOB to whoever it was!!
