About halfway through the speech last night I told my fiancé we were watching history and this could be a turning point. She supports my passion for RP and his cause, but she hasn't really formed her own political stance on many issues so she hasn't fully embraced RP. Last night was the first time the message started to make sense to her, and I think it's because RP was able to state his message clearly and passionately.

I can't remember the last time my dad has called me. The last time I talked to him, around Christmas, he was talking about how good Mitt Romney looked. He called me last night after Ron's speech and said he agrees with everything he says and is now a Ron Paul supporter.

I looked. Cspan has edited out the "open caller" broadcast in between the speeches. It would be golden - a "moxy" type would likely have a DVR of it somewhere. Hopefully it makes it to youtube.

CSPAN reaired all of last night's speeches this morning, Romney, then Paul, Huntsman, Santorum, Gingrich. I caught a little of Romney, all of Paul, most of Huntsman and Santorum.

Paul's was by far the most electric and substantive. Romney's was good, Huntsman & Santorum yawners.

Definitely the speech of a lifetime last night for Ron, with a crowd enthused like no other. Watching it is a visceral experience.

My mom, who normally isn't on board with Ron Paul told me "his speech last night was a grand slam". I've also had about 5 random friends who have NEVER expressed interest in politics start showing serious interest in Ron after last night.

My wife works as a hair stylist here in south FL (employed at this current place for only 2 months), and she's sparked up numerous conversations with people about politics and has come across more than a handful of Ron Paul supporters. He's catching on, I'm tellin ya'.
