Anyone still trying to advocate a bomb on Nov 5th please just stop talking. It has already been decided.

Don't tell me what to do.

I didn't tell anyone what to do. I said please. And it is simple common sense that you are wasting your breath on the Nov 5th BS. Why?

A) Promotion of a Nov 5th bomb will not be allowed on this site

B) It has already been decided that the bomb will be on 11/11/11

C) A bomb on 11/11 will be FAR BETTER FOR THE CAMPAIGN than one on 11/5

Well I'm a veteran who stood up against US Imperialism. I got generally discharged for my strong opposition, all the while having my life and freedom threatened the whole way through the process. I motivated other soldiers to take the same path and those kids were my brothers and sisters, unwilling to compromise. I'm sorry, but you are just as bad as the media whom generalizes all our supporters as loonies.

There are probably thousands and thousands of vets and active servicemembers who might have their one and only opportunity to unite under one voice and echo their opposition to war. There are thousands who chose the route I did and are proud for standing up for what is right and should have the opportunity to have a voice for a change! This moneybomb would be for them and dare I say myself.

Just my 2 cents.

OutSTANDING! +rep

Fawkes day will bring out the old donors again. 11/11/11 will make people want to take a nap.

I'm one of those "old donors."

I was here in 2007.

Believe it or not, "November 5th" wasn't handed down to us by God on stone tablets- it was just a date a bunch of grassroots people picked and we ran with it, without really thinking about the consequences that might arise. There is nothing mythical or magical about the date.

Those hard core supporters of Ron Paul will donate on EITHER day. We need to pick a day that will be more likely to bring in new people, not create controversy, and NOT cause Ron to have to answer a bunch of embarrassing questions.

The idea is to raise money and not draw negative attention to Ron Paul- and Veteran's day will accomplish both more effectively than 5 November.

So I'm down with Veteran's Day.

I think I also need to remind some of you that soldiers do not decide when and where to fight.

POLITICIANS make that call, with the support of the people.

Don't blame PFC Snuffy for bad wars, blame the Politicians who start the wars, and the American people who allow it to happen.

The military is a tool of this nation- it is nether good nor bad. If it is used badly, don't blame the tool, blame the idiot who is using it...

V for Veterans!

I have a lot of love for November 5th, 2007, but I have to admit that a V for Veterans money bomb could be brilliant....

1) it maintains the revolution spirit of 11/5
2) it simultaneously shines light on the undeclared wars, one of the most unifying causes behind the Ron Paul Revolution
3) it celebrates a huge percentage of the victims of wars, our veterans
4) it sounds nearly a hip as 'V for Vendetta'

5) watching the talking heads have to associate a big money day for Ron Paul with Veterans Day.... that would be Priceless!

here's to a $10,000,000 'V for Veterans' money bomb

I would REALLY like to see us pushing Ron Pauls veteran status. Its hardly mentioned on TV and almost everyone I talk to doesnt know. When people say he doesnt understand the war in Iraq or the reasons, I usually reply " So you think a Captain in the Air Force doesnt understand the implications or nuances of the Iraq War...or maybe his over 2 decades in Congress will help" At that point many change their tune.

I think it would interesting for the 'V for Veterans' money bomb to last an full week, starting Nov 5. Personally I would be happy if the bulk of the money came in on Veterans Day, but perhaps momentum built early in the week would inspire more donations on 11/11.

Guy Fawkes and V for Vendetta should be completely ignored this time around.

Not sure if a single day record would get as much attention as a big number after a week with a week long theme.

I'm wondering if it should last a whole week, and be dedicated to Veterans, defense, and the war(s). Each day could highlight a different issue.

One celebrating (and highlighting) Paul's service.

The Reagan defense endorsement and promoting Paul's dedication to defense. His bringing the troops home is often cited as poor on defense. This should be addressed.

One highlighting donations from active duty military thus far. This could be a big day to get MORE from active duty - imagine Paul getting more donations from active duty in a single day that Obama in an entire quarter.

And so on.

Don't give any reason for the media to spin this.

I vote for a week-long fundraiser with a theme, such as, "The Days After" .

Starting Nov. 5th and 'the days after', concluding on Veterans 11/11/11.

Something organized each day to keep people involved.

Although, people have pretty short attention spans, so I dunno.

Wow I was just browsing around youtube and found this video made on December 3rd 2009, only has 64 views so don't know if maybe this was resubmitted or what. But yea wow, someone saw in 2009 that Ron Paul would be running again and decided to make a fifth of November video back then for this election cycle..

I vote for V for Victory! Last time we were able to get Dr. Paul 4.3 million dollars (in 24 hours) and the media could not ignore it!! Remember, Remember the 5th of November...

NO ONE BUT RON PAUL!

Associating Nov 5th with moneybomb with guy fawkes is what the media did, how bout V for Vendetta moneybomb?
The arguments against nov 5th seem to be focused around bad press but who cares anymore?
