They are basically the pro Ron Paul gun organization and even have Ron in their logo. How do you screw that up. Oh I see, this again.

He has opposed efforts to reward millions of illegal aliens with citizenship and voting rights, given that the majority of them are anti-gunners who have ignored and flouted our laws.

Rand supports a path to citizenship while Cruz opposes it. I guess they do not give a damn about Cruz campaigning to increase high-skilled “H1B” visas since they do not have voting rights.

Pretty much ALL these orgs base endorsements on a survey or some kind of survey process. As someone who has done all of this before, WITHOUT a fancy high falutin staff, there truly is no excuse for this. And I am "no one but Paul."

fair enough; one thing I will say though is that it sounds awfully strange that Rafael would be the ONLY candidate to return the survey. I mean there are how many GOP candidates? And Cruz was the ONLY one to complete it and return it? That sounds suspicious or strange. I wonder if Cruz is the only one they sent it to...

It is also possible they chose not to return the survey since answering yes to supporting a pathway to citizenship would automatically eliminate him. The Cruz endorsement shows being against pathway high on that list of reasons.

This is the Republican Primary. Pretty much everyone is pro-gun. Do you think Rick Perry is not competing for a gun rights organization's support? Do you think ALL the campaigns just opted not to fill it out? Rand more than likely did not receive a survey.

They won't...... A few gun rights supporters know and like GOA, most have never heard of them. And GOA simply doesn't have the funding to play where it matters in a Presidential election.

Not only that, why would they make an endorsement NOW? The timing makes zero sense.

Well NAGR usually doesn't endorse, but their PAC may give money. NAGR will send out survey results to voters who care about guns. And the NRA will make endorsements or grades based on arbitrary factors that are undisclosed (being an incumbent counts for a lot according to the NRA).

It's not going to hurt Rand, and it's not going to really help Ted Cruz. It will however benefit the GOA because Cruz will be touting this through social media, guaranteed. And the gun community will spread it around. That will only help increase GOA's name recognition.

Probably because numerous illegals are killing Americans at alarming rates. They come here as felons, knowing they are breaking the law getting here. So, one can surmise that most ILLEGAL's are criminals to begin with. So killing your kid or mine, doesn't bother them at all.

Be sure you separate legal immigrants and illegal immigrants (those who break into your home and steal every dime they can from you).
