The EU is finished. Without Greece it wont survive very long, you see this is why some of the EU leaders have being fast on trying to start a war with Russia, they no longer about life or future.

Greece never really met the requirement of joining the Euro but they were let in based on promises for future economic changes. If Greece leaves, it won't hurt Europe (or mean war with Russia). Their GDP has actually fallen by $50 billion since 2009. Germany is the key to the European Union.

Russia would be willing to supply loans to Greece for major infrastructure and transport works, Russian PresidentVladimir Putin has said, as the Greek Prime Minister Alex Tsipras said European sanctions on Russia risked a new Cold War.

Greece did not seek direct financial help from Russia during the two-hour meeting, as some had speculated it might, but Russia said it would be willing to supply funds for major projects, such as the planned Turkish Stream pipeline that would carry natural gas to Europe via Turkey.

“Greece isn’t a beggar to go around countries asking for the solution of its financial problems,” Mr Tsipras said at a joint press conference after the meeting. “Because the financial crisis isn’t only Greek, it’s also European – for a European problem we’ll find a European solution.”

Here's hoping that Greece defaults and returns to the Drachma, without undertaking any liberalizing reforms, and then promptly turns into the Democratic Republic of Congo....just to shut up these these fucking socialist idiots yelping for that "solution."

But seriously, they need (another) military coup. Greek democracy is not capable of producing a solution. It's way beyond the event horizon of socialism's black hole.

Not that it hasn't been planned but let's get this collapse show on the road finally. September is approaching quickly.

Russia offered Greece help earlier on but at the time Greece said no. Now it is starting to look more inviting- Russia may be their "lender of last resort". Russia enjoys dividing Europe on issues wherever they can. They would also like to weaken sanctions by offering increased trade with Greece in exchange for any aid. Russia wants to build another gas/ oil pipeline to gain them more revenues. Greece has a huge payment on previous loans due at the end of the month and refinancing talks have stalled.

Russia has given contradictory messages over whether the country would be prepared to give financial support to Greece.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was asked whether there had been any discussion between Russian President Putin and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras of financial aid for Greece during a conference in St Petersburg and his reply was: "No, no, no."

But earlier Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said his country would look at the "question" of providing money in order to protect investment projects and trade.

Mr Dvorkovich told a TV station: "We will support any solution on regulating the Greek debt crisis that is suggested by Greece and our European partners.

"The most important things for us are investment projects and trade with Greece. If financial support is required, we will consider this question."

Mr Tsipras said in St Petersburg that Russia was "one of the most important partners for us".

Greece is basically destitute. Unless they have been sitting on some huge hidden reserve of good delivery bars, the only backing the drachma will enjoy shall be that of more Greek bullshit.

Why would Tspiras have a meeting with Putin this past weekend and Tsipras agree to a Russian gas pipeline through Greece? Greece is pivoting toward BRICS and the drachma will be reissued with an implied gold backing from the BRICS bank. Think of it as BRICS gold acting as a guarantee behind the Greek drachma but Greece will not hold the gold.

The media reports of the Greece/EU 'drama' are contrived. It's all part of the global banker plan.

BRICs don't want to use their gold to prop up Greece. Why would they and risk losing it? (BRICs aren't going to do a gold backed currency either).
