Great new article on Ron Paul, including stuff I never knew.

Great quote, first time I've seen an article talk about his son Ronnie !

Thanks for sharing

Yikes! Didn't know Paul never wears a seat belt. Can't say that I ever do either, though ;-)

I shared a few beers with Ronnie in IA this summer, really cool guy and he and his wife were easy to talk too and very regular people.

I loved that article! The picture is awesome also. Bumping this.....give that some traffic!

I love that he doesn't wear a seat belt. I wouldn't either, but my wife demands it. I don't mind doing it for her (well, I do, but I do it anyway because I know she's just concerned for me). I won't do it for the state.

As for the article... wish it explained some of his positions a bit more thoroughly. Sort of sets up that he's anti-Social Security without following up that he'll protect it for those invested, for example.

I don't agree with not wearing seatbelts. I agree that it shouldn't be against the law to not wear one, but I personally wear one because it's safer.

Seatbelts should be optional, after all motorcycles are. But I just hope they sign an organ donor card in case there is enough left after an accident that might help others ;)

I think this is a subtle smear article. I could see him not wearing a seatbelt in Lake Jackson.... outside in DC, though...... y'know.

Lots of journalistic "interjection", don't trust this articule fully.

Legalize real money.
Would he have Congress issue money backed by the power of the peoples labor? Labor is what makes this country great.

Because after 100 years of the Fed, the people have lost all the gold to them.
So a gold based money system would be almost as
Banker dominated as our current fiat FRNote currency.

Silver dollars would be a start, making a dollar equal to 371 grains of silver.

He wouldn't exactly go back on the gold standard.

He would legalize using competing currencies. Gold and silver coins would be legal to use as money. This would restrain the Federal Reserve from printing too much money.

I think this is a subtle smear article.

What he said. It's gone some fun facts, but lines like "Paul is the Alternative Candidate, someone who subscribes to an alternative history of the world. Paul believes that powerful and secretive forces (the Fed being the best example) have manipulated human events and bankrolled wars." and "Martial law? Really?" are obviously struggling to uphold his nutcase image. Plus printing his stutter on the word "Byzantine" is kinda weird.
