I've seen it 3 times and totally disagree with you.
I really liked it (and yes I understand there was some unsubstantiated speculation, especially in the first part).
I think it was very well-done and had a lot of things that at minimum make you think. Don't forget, over half of Ron Paul's support is coming from athiests, so obviously RP being Christian is not a big deal to most supporters.
 
I loved Why We Fight, except for the ending.
In the end, the narrator concludes that all of the problems with the military-industrial complex are caused by capitalism. Seemed strange since the movie exposed how evil the congress is. I would have accepted corporatism as an answer, but it seems that the makers of this film are nothing but socialists!

not sure what category but I highly recommend Street Fight about the 2002 Newark mayorial race. It may be eye opening to some to see how dirty politics can really get - for example, the incumbent uses police to harass business owners, rip down campaign signs, pays to bus in 'supporters', etc.

Given what we're part of right now, it's worth seeing the kind of stuff we'll likely be up against.

I've just finished watching The War on Democracy - John Pilger.

Over decades, American governments have supported attemps to overthrow democratically elected governments in South America resulting in the horrific torture and death of thousands of innocent people.

If anyone still has any doubts about the utterly devastating effects American foreign policy has on the lives of some of the world's poorest people and why America, by its actions is isolating itself from the rest of the world, I urge you to watch this film.

Very good documentary, explains why we don't need to be in any country at all. Charles Lewis makes a mistake though saying this is the result of capitalism (referring to the military-industrial-complex), it's not capitalism, but corporatism, where government is in bed with colorations.

From the war on drugs, to the war on communism, to the war on terrorism...pretty much "the war on...whatever" is a total failure and does nothing to provide freedom or peace around the world and here in the US. The war on terrorism will change to a different name in the future if we let this continue to happen. The name may change, the tactics won't change.

You guys gotta see this 6 hour series "Secret Rulers of the World" on youtube.. It is in 29 parts but it is fascinating..
