Grassroots Ron Paul Docum3ntary in the works - Help Us Name It!!

Thanks everyone for the amazing suggestions. This has been driving me nuts. It has to be perfect. At the moment I'm leaning to:

FOR LIBERTY

How the American Tree of Liberty Was
Watered By the Ron Paul R3volution

Any disagreements on that one?

For Liberty is great for Ron Paul fans, however you wrote earlier you wanted to attract mainstream buyers outside the R3volution.

The majority of the 95% that didn't vote for Ron Paul can not define Liberty. What they don't understand, they don't buy.

Well, looks like we might have to teach them something ;)

Wow... I'm flattered that you chose my title! (post #33)... Please, let me know how this turns out! -Tyler

Cover idea.

if you must use that subtitle, i would recommend changing it to "the" withered tree of liberty

LOL. OK, agreed, bad example. Here's another.

Now imagine a R3V photo collage painted in that style. It will be very well designed to grab people.

OK - MUCH BETTER!

As to mass appeal - triggering that curiosity neuron, what's what I was thinking about with suggested titles like:

Visions of a razor wire lady liberty <== who wouldn't at least check out a title like that?
and
We are the people your political party warned you about.

What you put on the back of the dvd box is kindof crucial. I mean when have you ever bought a DOCUMENTARY unless it was based on something you're already interested in? The front should be what makes people look at it, the back will be the selling point.

I have to agree with this, unfortunately. You said, "I want the title to be very clever, and spark interest from non-supporters or people who have never heard of Ron Paul." The title and subtitle you are leaning towards strikes me as much more appealing to "the choir" than those outside of the freedom movement that you are hoping to reach (and rightfully so). I think you can do better (and IMHO there are some better suggestions in this thread).

Absolutely agreed. Haven't really thought of the back yet, but I like the photo collage idea as a painting. And of course some nice lines of text to say what the film is about.

I just had the idea to include a free pocket constitution with every DVD. I believe it could be inserted into the amaray case. The back could also say "FREE CONSTITUTION INSIDE".

If we got sponsors for the film, perhaps they could get their logos on the back of the box and URL.

I think the title does reach to outside the choir. Every American has at least heard the word "Liberty" and instantly relates it to America. If they might not know the dictionary definition of Liberty (even though they should!), hell I think it's interesting enough to at least get them to pick it up and read the back.

But hell, let's have your fav titles from the thread. It's not set in stone yet.
