Grassroots Press Releases -- IMPORTANT

lol nice, new RP "health car" plan.
my car is voting RP.

I just notice that in that previous thread, lol.

Prep a release, and post it here. Do it on an ad-hoc basis, where each release is vetted before release, and the dollars can be raised right then and there. I'd chip-in for appropriate releases.

Here are 2 release that were previously voted on here:

<Ann Arbor>, <MI>, <February 4, 2008> - Ron Paul’s non-intervention foreign policy may have a lot of ground to gain in the American public’s understanding, but the military for two straight fundraising quarters has shouted “Hoorah!” to Ron Paul. Raising more in Q3 than all other presidential candidates, Dr. Paul has repeated this feat in Q4 by raising more than all other presidential candidates combined.
In a press release from their website, the Texas Congressman’s campaign reports:
Ron Paul: 1160 $249k
John McCain: 438 $83k
Mike Huckabee: 126 $37k
Mitt Romney: 126 $24k
Barack Obama: 443 $76k
These numbers come as no surprise to Rhys Williams Jr, an Ann Arbor, MI based marketing consultant who’s worked with political advertising, and as every American, has military ties. “I find it hard to believe that many active duty military would support anyone but Ron Paul. My grandfather would never talk about ‘the war’ and I’ll never forget the G.I. I met on leave from Iraq who looked at me and said ‘People just aren’t meant to kill like that.’”
These statements are enforced by ret. Marine Corp. Sgt. Raymond Cheung, who participated in Operation Shock and Awe, “I donated to Dr. Paul because I believe he is the only candidate with the principles and leadership to truly support our troops by instituting a sound and moral foreign policy of freedom and friendship." Ret. Sgt. Cheung is known as SgtBulldog on ronpaulforums.com
ABOUT <Grassroots Members of Ronpaulforums.com> - ronpaulforums.com is an online meeting place for Ron Paul’s group of dedicated supporters. This press release is just another example of spontaneous support for Congressman Paul, with no request or guidance from his campaign, or anyone who knows what they’re doing, really.

As health care becomes more expensive and controlled through red tape and regulations,
many people are beginning to recognize a real need for the personal freedom to make their own decisions
about their health care, without first having to seek the permission of their insurance company or the government.

According to Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, a Republican 2008 Presidential Candidate,
"Health care should not be left up to HMOs, big drug companies, and government bureaucrats."

Paul believes that if health care bureaucracies were unempowered,
responsibility for health would reside where it belongs—in the people's hands.

Candidate Paul, a Medical Doctor by trade, has issued a health care reform platform that includes:

1. Making all medical expenses tax-deductible.

2. Eliminating federal regulations that discourage small businesses from providing coverage.

3. Giving doctors the freedom to collectively negotiate with insurance companies to drive down the cost of medical care.

4. Making every American eligible for a Health Savings Account (HSA),
and removing the requirement that individuals must obtain a high-deductible insurance policy before opening an HSA.

5. Reform licenser requirements so that pharmacists and nurses can perform some basic functions
to increase access to care and to lower costs.

HMOs and other insurance companies limit the doctors a person may choose from, and in most cases,
doctors of alternative medicine are not included.

Under Dr Paul's plan, a family paying $1,000 a month for insurance could put that money in an HSA,
choose their own doctor, acupuncturist, chiropractor, or other licensed health-care provider,
and negotiate costs and payments with them.

In order to become more independent from the current system, today millions of Americans are assuming responsibility
for their own health by researching treatments and taking dietary supplements.

One major threat to personal health freedoms is the Codex Alimentarius Commission,
which is being enforced by the World Trade Organization (WTO).

It aims to regulate the strength of vitamins, and also their availability by forcing all countries
that are members of the WTO to distribute them by prescription only.

Notably, in Congress, Dr Ron Paul has always done his best to protect personal health freedoms,
such as introducing the "Health Freedom Act H.R. 2117",
and supporting the "Access to Medical Treatment Act, H.R. 2717",
"which expands the ability of Americans to use alternative medicine and new treatments."

Congressman Paul also opposes legislation increasing the FDA's legal powers, stating that the
"FDA has consistently failed to protect the public from dangerous drugs, genetically modified foods,
dangerous pesticides, and other chemicals in the food supply, while they waste public funds attacking safe,
healthy foods and dietary supplements."

PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE RON PAUL DRAWS MOST MILITARY SUPPORT

ANN ARBOR, MI – Ron Paul’s fundraising for the fourth quarter leads all other Republican candidates, as do his military donors. Military donors in both the third and fourth quarters overwhelming chose Paul as their candidate of choice. The raw numbers put John McCain in a distant second.

From RonPaul2008.com, Ron Paul’s military donations totaled 249 thousand, with 1160 unique donors, McCain with 83 thousand and 438 donors. Both Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney had 126 military donors each, Huckabee raising thirty seven thousand and Romney with twenty four thousand.

Rhys Williams Jr., Ann Arbor based Political Marketing Consultant, is not surprised:

“I find it hard to believe that many active duty military would support anyone but Ron Paul. My grandfather would never talk about ‘the war’ and I’ll never forget the G.I. I met on leave from Iraq who looked at me and said ‘People just aren’t meant to kill like that.’”

Sergeant Raymond Cheung, a retiree of the Marine Corp agrees, “I donated to Dr. Paul because I believe he is the only candidate with the principles and leadership to truly support our troops by instituting a sound and moral foreign policy of freedom and friendship.”

Presidential Candidate Ron Paul took second place at both the Nevada and Maine caucuses, widening his nationwide support.

I did press releases locally when we put up our grassroots billboards, and some of the papers picked it up. It's easy as hell. You can email them to your local papers. There usually is a "press release" email to send them to.
