Do you want to attend the Offical march, the March where RON PAUL will be the Main Speaker? Or do you want to attend a march where "other speakers and entertainment" will be provided?

I have asked the GRANNIES a question, and received and reply.

The question:

This is the reply:

"As I have stated before this is a rally--protest-demonstration..we aren't marching anywhere.. and I am not obligated by any means to consult with the National Campaign Committee... Ron has stated many times to do what you want, have fun and be free.. We have not even asked Ron to speak.. but I am sure the committee would not allow it so why bother? We have other speakers and will have entertainment and enjoy the day as well as promote Dr. paul and oppose the Taxes NAU CAFTA FED TTC AMNESTY WAR ETC..."

Call it a "protest--rally-demonstration" or a hoe down, the answer she, as well as any others forming their own dates, is a clear NO, RON PAUL WILL NOT BE SPEAKING AT THEIR "MARCH", or whatever they wish to name it.

So, as you decide which "MARCH" (MARCH is the word the RON PAUL campaign is using, call it what you will, a rose by another name smells the same...) you want to attend. Do you want to attend a "March" where RON PAUL will be the MAIN SPEAKER, or do you want to attend a "rally--protest-demostration" where "other speakers and entertainment" will be provided?

Don't get me wrong. If you can attend both or ALL the events planned, that's GREAT!!! But if you are like most and can only attend ONE, then chose wisely.

As the GRANNIES have CLEARLY STATED in their response to my question above, "I AM NOT OBLIGATED BY ANY MEANS TO CONSULT WITH THE NATIONAL CAMPAIGN COMMITEE". This is a true statement, NOBODY has any LEGAL obligation, failing a signed contract, to consult the National Campaign Commitee. MORAL OBLIGATION?

So as you make your decision to go to RON PAUL'S MARCH, or someone elses, ask youself, DO YOU WANT TO GO TO THE MARCH THAT RON PAUL WILL BE SPEAKING AT?

PS: Don't try to argue that its ok for the Grannies to promote an "additional" march (protest, rally or whatever) because they are NOT promoting this as such. They are promoting it as THE march.

"Washington Demonstration
Instead of waiting for the National Campaign HQ to try to figure out when to do the demonstration we the Grassroots workers have decided to just

The date is April 15th beginning at 11 AM just in time for the lunch traffic

Questions:

1) Exactly how is a grassroots march/rally held in April going to negatively impact a campaign march/rally held in June?

2) Couldn't one say the reverse about 'undermining,' by suggesting the uncertainty of the HQ rally (with not even a distant date set yet) undermines the efforts of the grassroots to do a more timely event that DOES have a definite date set?

3) How much micromanagement of the grassroots is being pushed? Some have asked that those in the grassroots who disagree with decisions of the campaign about how to hold the HQ rally (when to do it, who to invite, etc.) put together their own event. Now that they are putting one on, is the campaign supposed to have veto powers over a grassroots event they have NOT organized?

I have no issue with the Grannies, they have been amazing. My issues are simply that April is the WORST possible time for many people to try and take time off and travel. I know even if it was the Official march, I would not be there in April. I will not have funds until mid-May. The other problem that I have s when you now have 2 events some people can only attend one, which mean less people to be all at one single event.

That's why I said we should give the GWs a sub-forum. This forum should be converted for the official Ron Paul Sponsored event only.

At a mere 200 post that I hold.... my meetup group and I have waved signs in the faces of Rudy and Bill Clinton, manned talbes at 2 different local events, have stood in 8 degree cold handing out slimjims at ball games, we meet 2 twice a week now... and at present we are planning our summer march on the state capitol of Missouri.

Below is just one of the wonderful and caring messages I have been getting today.. Then there is the Texasredneck... and you know what people you are actually listening to them.

There are 4 groups working together on the 15th. and were working on it long before Ron ever called for a march.. This is not a march it is a Rally-protest=demonstration.. we aren't marching anywhere.

/we are not trying to circumvent anything the campaign puts together..what ever they decide we will back it 100 percent.. no question.. The date was chosen because congress and the senate will be in town, it is tax day and what better time to let them know there are people who are likely to vote them out of office if they don't start being honest and doing their jobs.

Now sure some cannot go that goes for all rallys and demonstrations doesn't it???? Some can... and some will and some won't. that is up to everyone as an individual.

Now why don't you all put this to bed and let it die.. the date is set, the entertainment has been scheduled, the speakers are being contacted, the permit is in hand and we are going to have fun, promote Ron and the constitution and freedom... We aren't after attention, we already get that.. so what would be the motive to try to ruin Rons march???? I usually hide inside to keep from having attention focused on me and let the RV do it's job.. and it does it well.. It's not Ron Paul's Revolution Anymore

Ron Paul embarked on an informational campaign that awoke the sleepy masses. But that is as far as Ron will take us. He won't be the GOP nominee; he won't be running for President. He may or may not retain his congressional seat, but there is little more for him to do. Ron Paul declared a revolution, but the revolt has not yet begun.

Support the Grannies march on April 15. Get behind the "official march" on whatever day that might be. However, until we get in our oppressors face and say, "No more!" we are not engaged in a revolution. A march is a protest; a revolutionary action would be to legally challenge the IRS's right to collect income tax with a court challenge ($6million would be enough to do that). That is what I would like to see.

So far it's been all talk and no action. That's no revolution; that's a temper tantrum.

my only issue is this, even on their page it was said "we are sick of waiting and are going to do this". To me that always sounded like an "instead of" comment.

Now if it were said as though they now are trying to comment and said something like "not sure when the official rally or whatever is but we want to have our own on this date".

For your information it does not. It didnt even start in Texas. CINTRA has already bought the Chicago Skyway and connecting Indiana Toll Road. Now they want to add Intermodal Facilities in our area of Indiana and an additional tollway for CINTRA to also purchase.

Do you know who CINTRA is mainly owned by? Do you know what kind of companies are owned by the major shareholder of CINTRA?

I share others' concerns. I feel our old tendancies to wait for orders from "the powers that be" for direction creeping back in. I do not want to see people decide not to go do to confusion, but I cringe at what I've been reading. Ron Paul has repeatedly stated this is about the MESSAGE, not the MAN. His campaign successes are really OUR successes. He pitched the ball and we're hitting homerun after homerun. As long as people understand the April 15th event is not endorsed by the campaign, they should be free to go to one or both as they see fit, without "veto" attempts from anyone.
