So a week ago Saturday I get a text message from my daughter. Her daughter 10 year old was having a play date at a friends. They set up a lemonade stand and my granddaughter was hit by a truck. She was dead for 20 minutes. Per protocol in most states they keep working and transport to hospital. Basically she got transferred to 3 different hospitals. She ended up on life support if you can even call it that at Children's Hospital in Aurora, CO. I never seen anything like it. Probably 40 medications, about 10 pumps being injected into her. She was on a ventilator. She had epinephrine being precisely dosed to keep her heart going. Too much no good, too little not good. So after a week the plug finally gets pulled. What a crime. They revive a dead person, and put a family thru all that just so they can clinically pronounce them dead.
I don't know if I mentioned it but a year ago February this same family, the dad got rear ended pulling into his driveway. His truck flipped 3 times and he had tons of internal damage. He spent months at Craig Hospital in Englewood CO. He is paralyzed from the waste down for life.
That family has adversity and resilience.
