Grade Ron's Debate Performance

I think we really helped improve our favorables tonight with Republican voters.

Rick Perry was booed more than Ron Paul tonight.

Gary Johnson had the line of the night, and seconds later basically endorses Ron Paul.

Santorum gets owned on foreign policy by Huntsman, which only validates Ron Paul's position.

Solid 'A' debate.

He needs to learn to hijack questions like Michelle does. Pick off previously asked questions that he didn't get a chance to answer, gives rebuttals to anyone challenging his positions and I have to admit a bit frustrated that his answer was short for the first one but then he knocked it out of the park later.

It's a bit awkward I bet for Ron to toot his own horn but he needs to throw his weight around a bit and I think he did that at the end when he said he was polling third.

I half-agree. I like the idea on paper, but when Bachmann does it she looks so desperate.

Did really good but he should of butted in or spoke up. He only got like 5 questions. He needs to stop being polite. Imo.

Ron Paul gave the most amazing performance he's ever given in a debate. Long live President Paul!

This was perhaps Ron's best debate performance b/w 2008 and 2012

He was confident and on the money. He made the most of his time and got loud applause

I like how he handled the boarder fence question, solid. I would say that he dropped the 10th amendment softball question. I'd like to see him rail against the drug war / DEA intrusion into California and the ATF intrusions into states enforcing "interstate commerce" where there is none. It seems to me he isn't standing out with the 'fire in the belly' ... I want to see the mad Ron Paul!!

I agree. At the same time, I think this was the worst, most substance-less debate I have seen, including all this year and 2007-8. Even if I were not a Ron Paul supporter this was a horrible debate. No one said anything!

Gary Johnson stayed on-message: balance the budget, balance the budget, balance the budget. With huge spending cuts, so that's great. Ron was splendid, turned around the gotcha question on the fence and was really on the ball during the vanishingly small time he spoke. Everyone else, well, if I knew nothing about them I learned almost nothing about where they stand on anything during this debate.

Could yall believe when Romney said "there are a lot of reasons not to elect me"?

He was very solid. The only thing that could ever help is maybe some acting classes or such. He's never that smooth, but he was on his game tonight.

That was really awkward. When it comes to a guy like Romney who talks out of both sides of his mouth, give him enough rope and he'll eventually hang himself.

I think he was actually being truthful that his platform isn't exactly perfect.

Convention will probably say Mitt came out on top but great when fuck you frank's segment promoting Mitt went south due to video problems. Perry was really off his game (if he has one). Ron very true to his colors during the after debate interview with Hannity. Very obvious Ron does not like this guy and so sweet seeing Hannity more or less suck up to him at the end.
