It's a perversion and mockery of everything good. It is the force that has pushed this. They have leapt over every line of decency. It is a sign of the collective goodness and tolerance of Christianity that there hasn't been a true pushback until now. I mean, who but God knows. God is sovereign over all things, including the antichrist State, which he is going to slaughter en masse when he returns (Rev. 19:11-21, Ezek. 39:17-20, Isa. 63:1ff, etc.) He frequently uses the wicked for his own purposes, expending them against each other, before he summarily destroys them all. I'm not in favor of government bureaucrats determining which organizations are sufficiently "religious" to enjoy governmental benefits or government recognition. But I'm not naive enough to think that tax-exempt status for religious organizations is going away anytime soon, so you'll still have bureaucrats making those calls. If Scientology can be treated as a religious organization it shouldn't be surprising that something called The Satanic Temple is treated as one.
