If you watch his other videos on older bills he finds this sort of stuff on other denominations as well, some of which has actually happened. Well worth watching his videos.
Yep. Paper is different. Older paper is definitely more durable. Where the blue hologram is stamped on it creates an indention in the paper and after handing the bill around to a bunch of people over the last few days that indention is showing serious and obvious wear. I predict a lot of bills will start ripping/wearing out right where the hologram strip is. I saw some rumors that there may be rfid chip or some sort of tracking in the bill so I microwaved the bill for 5 seconds. No noticeable change to the bill occurred.
(side note: yeah I keep it in my wallet and show it to people that haven't seen one yet.....most people have not....some didn't even know there is a new $100 bill out!)
