GOP pushing socialist policies?

Noticed the GOP is promoting 2nd term initiatives that sound very big government and "socialist" by giving away things.

- Establish national high speed wireless internet network.

Verizon, at+t, t-mobile, spacex satellite, and amazon's announced satellite internet aren't free market solutions? What role does the government have for establishing national internet and why should taxes pay for it? Is there suddenly a right to have internet access? This should be a state issue if states think it can be good for the citizens.

- send 1st manned mission to mars, manned moon base

Spacex is working on mars, should we compete with private enterprise? treaties say countries can't claim planets or moons. I guess space force needs something to do.

There are problems with the GOP but these are not it.

Sending the first man to mars and moon base IS the SpaceX project, they're promoting SpaceX's success. Elon Musk talks about these two goals all the time, the GOP is riding the coattails of his ambitions.

FCC chairman wants to cut regulations, speed new innovation approvals

Pai said he is focused on helping low-income and rural Americans get access to high-speed internet and “modernizing our rules and removing unnecessary regulatory barriers, promoting innovation, protecting consumers and public safety, and improving agency operations.”

Pai already went all in against net neutrality, the administration caught hell for it, nobody here really gave them any credit, as expected.

The hell you say?! Unpossible. GOP is the conservative, small government, low spending party. The resident Trumpkins keep telling me that voting matters.

The GOP pushing high speed internet is light years away from leftist Jacobin/Marxist/Bolshevik mobs showing up at my door to burn me out.

But -why- are they pushing high speed internet? That is the question you should be asking....

Btw, I doubt you're really concerned about those mobs seeing how you live in the whitest region of the country lol

The current FCC chairman follows in the tradition of Colin Powell's son being put in charge of the FCC under Bush Jr. Both the current, and Powell, were past lawyers from Verizon who then were put into controlling the FCC. The very definition of swamp. Of course they would want to remove all regulation, at least for their previous companies, and avoiding pointing out that taxpayers have already paid a few hundred billion for fiber to everyone's home and no one has held them accountable.

Back in the 90s telco reform forced the monopoly telcos to interconnect their lines with upstarts. The 'net exploded. The old telcos realized they were missing out on a cash cow but now had competition. The old monopolies complained that the competition had access to their lines, there was no incentive for them to update things for faster internet. If they had their monopoly status again they promised they would really speed up the internet. (I am not simplifying this, this was actually their argument - no updates on line speed because they had to interconnect) The 96 telco reform was rolled back, monopolies got their monopolies, and speeds didn't increase.

Buddy, you're discredited. Move along.

kpitcher follows in the tradition of making links between things that have no connection whatsoever.

And is also now apparently against cutting regulations, which flies against the point of his original post.

+ Rep

If they do not know by now... seriously, even the brain washed/brain dead should know the answer by now.

I don't know, I don't really care right now. If you got some earth shattering, clear and present danger, as to why, then speak up and stop asking Socratic questions while the house is burning down around our fucking heads.

I see more BLM signs here, in the left wing billionaire Bolshevik area of my little town, than I do in Roxbury.

Who do you see out in the street committing real political violence, as opposed to just looting and street crime?

Who is marching through the suburbs threatening to burn people out?

Who is openly calling for open Jacobinite "Reign of Terror" killings?

WHITE Marxists.

Is that it?

Swamp creatures enriching each other through mutual backscratching?

I would have sat up taken notice if you had told me it was part of a plot to monitor internal conversations in each home, in order to dispatch above mentioned Jacobin mobs for "slicy bois" punishment.

Oh, you will care. I suggest that you look up the hoards of information that have already been posted on these here forums.

You will care.

I probably will.

I'm a little preoccupied right now, trying to put out the current fire.

The flames have been fanned. You are preoccupied with what should be handled locally, ultimately you. Looking to a president/administration/"party" to solve your problems will not solve anything, but in fact make it worse. This is not a riddle or a puzzle, AF, the information is there. I believed that you were smart enough to put the pieces together.

At this moment, I can live in an America governed by the GOP, but we'd all be fighting for scraps in one governed by Democrats.

Both parties are one and the same and I will not participate. But I have been thinking, that if democrats win this round, the republican voters will be opposed to everything that democrats are for, that this president has been pushing.

I am certain that if a democrat wanted to push for the largest Omnibus in the history of the world, at $1.3 TRILLION, the republican voters would not allow that to happen as they did with trump.

I am certain that if a democrat wanted to push for a North American Union, NAFTA on Steroids, the republican voters would not allow that to happen as they did with trump.

I am certain that if a democrat wanted to FUND Bill Gates-tied companies and hire Gates-tied people to Operation Warp Speed and other positions, the republican voters would not allow that to happen as they did with trump.

Make sense? Not really. But a fact nonetheless.

So who fanned the flames?

Who has complete control over the media?
Who has complete control over colleges?
Who runs the vast majority of social media networks?
Who incites the mobs to burn, loot, assault, or even kill with impunity?
Who glorifies the criminal while prosecuting the innocent?
Who has the support of 'woke street'/Wall Street?
Who utilizes the FBI/CIA against political dissidents?
Who promotes censorship?

I've said it more than once, and I'll say it again, and again until you guys get it:

Trump is only going to be president for 4 more years, maybe just a few more months depending on how the election goes in a few days. All that sh!t I just listed will still be there. Y'all worried about Trump. You ought to be more concerned with the utilization of banana republic tactics we're seeing from TPTB.

EDIT: And I highly doubt AF is looking for a president to solve all his problems. I think he's just trying to vote against a president who is going to create more problems. If Biden (or rather, the people who control him) wins, there will be a purge.

It does make space exploration seem rather benign by comparison.

Why, the 5G control grid, of course, and everything that comes along with that, and a bonus likely side effect of slowly cooking yer innerds like a defrosting chicken breast. No biggie. It is that high speed infrastructure that is required to control your resource utilization via IoT, your movement control via electric cars, your centrally managed digital money via FedCoin CBDC, your entire Agenda 2030 existence.

The hordes you're worried about showing up in front of your snow covered front door are a manufactured distraction from the prison grid being built that actually will implement full Bolshevist control. After the hordes fail to show up, you'll then realize that the grid was put up while you were polishing your rifle and waiting for the horde. Then it's too late.
