GOP nominee for Boehner’s House Seat Sounds Like Rand Paul

http://rare.us/story/the-republican...hners-house-seat-sounds-a-lot-like-rand-paul/

A candidate backed by the conservative-leaning House Freedom Caucus won the primary Tuesday for the congressional seat held by former speaker John Boehner. With 32 percent of the vote, businessman Warren Davidson defeated state representative Tim Derickson and state senator Bill Beagle in Ohio’s 8th Congressional District GOP primary.

In addition to the House Freedom Caucus, Davidson has been endorsed by the Senate Conservatives Fund, FreedomWorks, Citizens for Community Values, and Republican Congressman Jim Jordan, a fellow Ohioan and chairman of the Freedom Caucus.

A special election to the United States House of Representatives for Ohio's 8th congressional district will be held to determine the successor to John Boehner, who resigned his seat on October 31, 2015.[SUP][1][/SUP] Republican Governor of Ohio John Kasich set the primary election for March 15, 2016, and the general election for June 7. The winner of the June special election will need to run for reelection in November 2016 but will serve the remainder of Boehner’s two-year term, which ends in early January 2017.[SUP][2][/SUP]

How are Foister's numbers?

I live in the district, the Republican nominee could shoot someone the day before the election and still win. He could not campaign and probably get 70% of the votes. It's one of the most Republican voting districts in the country.

I think Davidson is the real deal. I spoke with him for about an hour right after he announced, not sure if he is Rand Paul, but he should be good. Definitely Liberty Caucus type of guy. I helped with the campaign, we're pretty excited that we flipped the seat from Boehner (who a lot of us in the district hated) to a liberty type Congressman. He doesn't need the job. He owns his own manufacturing company. Never been in politics before. He's as pissed off as we are.
