GOP insiders: Jindal and Pataki quit next, Rand Paul’s on the departure list too

All based on opinion polls? I like how an Iowa republican knows what the KYGOP is going to do.

Huckabee is the next ex-Governor to quit is more likely.

Like when Wolfe asked Rand about leaving the race Rand laughed.
He can mention he won the Kentucky Presidential caucus decision - all is swell for the full court press, folks.

Rand will be getting alot of the California GOP primary delegates on June 7, the last day of primary voting -
final delegate selection in some caucus states are even after that.

most of the intelligent reads are that THIS will NOT be a first ballot decision at the Cleveland GOP Convention.
 
Jindal's exit is not yet official. Please keep him for just a few more weeks...his term as our governor is almost over.
 
If the media and establishment push Rand out with false stories or screw him over like they did Ron right before Iowa in 2011/12, fuck them and run Indy.

He will not run Indy. He's already slammed Trump for not taking the Republican pledge.
 
Keep in mind that most of these candidates biggest problem is that as their polling numbers drop their donations drop as well. Eventually they just run out of money. Rand has the same benefit (though maybe to a lesser extent) Ron Paul had. He has a core of donors that truly believe in what he is doing and will continue to donate despite his polling so he can keep running as others around him drop. this will allow him to get stronger over time as others begin to weaken. Money goes a long way. That is why Jeb Bush is still in the spot he is in because he has so much money. Without that cash, he probably would be a lot lower in polling than he is. Probably the only other candidates that has this benefit Rand has is Trump (because he is using his own money) and Jeb because he already has so much and has so many connections. Although, I think even Jeb has a floor that he could get too that would cause his donors to bail.
 
I was think Jindal was the next guy they'd want to pump up, I've seen him creeping up in the polls and not that much below Rand now.

Please, things can change in politics, people change their minds about running for this and that all the time and WIN, and running Indy would give Rand creed to the fact that the system is corrupt including the media. Plus pay back can be hell for doing with they are doing to Rand and what they did to Ron.

I doubt Rand wants to be Senator for ever and rubbing shoulders with the establishment has not paid off on any issue he cares about.

The only way Rand bails before Iowa and NH is if the money dries up and he's not getting the donations Ron got which was around $30M in 2011. I say he stays in until those 2 states then bails if no traction.

Rand isn't going to drop out before the primaries start when he paid the Kentucky GOP $250,000 to switch to a caucus. There's no way that he's going to just let all of that money go to waste.

Bobby Jindal and George Pataki are the next two quitters in the Republican field.
That’s the assessment of Republicans in the POLITICO Caucus, our weekly bipartisan survey of the top activists, operatives and strategists in Iowa and New Hampshire.

A quarter of Iowa Republicans say it’s Jindal, a frequent visitor to their state, who is on his way out.
"He's become desperate," an Iowa Republican said. "He's taken to attacking Trump (we know how that worked out for Perry and Walker) and has nothing going on here in Iowa."
Added another, who like all participants was granted anonymity in order to speak freely: "He's taken the hard inside right lane, and there's simply too much competition there (Cruz, Huckabee, Santorum)."

But in New Hampshire, Pataki is considered most likely to drop out next, with 27 percent of Republican insiders there pointing to him.
"There comes a point when his irrelevance becomes crystal clear even to him," a New Hampshire Republican said.

"The Spice Girls were big in the 1990s, too, but no one wants to see them on a reunion tour," snarked another New Hampshire Republican.

Agreed a third, "The only question is why he wasn't out before Perry and Walker."
In both states, Rand Paul came in second. Several insiders said that at some point, Paul will need to focus on winning reelection to his Senate seat.

"Rand Paul’s campaign [reeks] of the same stench of death that surrounded the Perry and Walker efforts before their demise," said a New Hampshire Republican, who was one of 22 percent of those voters to name the Kentucky senator. "Paul’s polling is anemic, his fundraising is lagging, his campaign is disorganized and he is in danger of getting bumped off the main debate stage. He also has to consider when it’s time to cut bait and focus on running for reelection to the Senate. His time is running short."

Said an Iowa Republican of the Kentucky GOP: "KYGOP is going to pressure him to concentrate on the US Senate race. There is no path to victory for him in the presidential race."

"Paul's making no traction in the polls, and he's the only one who also faces re-election next year in a race that could unnecessarily complicate our Party's chances of holding the Senate majority," agreed a New Hampshire Republican. "His dad came in second to Romney in the New Hampshire primary in 2012, but so far, Rand has shown no ability to win over those same supporters, or harness that same energy or get those same liberty-minded wing of the party behind his candidacy."

Democrats split on the questions between Jindal and Paul – 40 percent of Iowa Democratic insiders picked the Kentucky senator and 34 percent of New Hampshire Democrats named Jindal.

Said an Iowa Democrat who agreed with Republicans in the state that Jindal is on the way out, "Of the candidates who began this race with a realistic shot at being the next President, he is the one with the least traction and room for growth. Just like Walker, he has no path to break out of the polling oblivion and his fundraising will dry up soon just like Walker's did."

This is definitely a good rumor to start if you wan't to keep someone from gaining traction though. Impressionable Republicans could read this and write off Rand
 
His campaign in NH is not disorganized at all. A lot going on behind the scenes.
