Google News finds more important "things" than Ron Paul...

I used to think it was some sort of algorithm that determined which things were worthy of the Google News sidebar - the top 10 or so things that are of most interest. Each night before I kill the lights, I do a quick check on US headlines to see if he's mentioned. Usually about once a week his name appears.

The rest of the time, not so much. Instead, we find WAY more important NEWS like this:

I suppose that means the fact that this type of news (i.e. Kim Kardashian's getting divorced) is more appealing/trendy than things that will affect whether life will be like Madmax in the very near future, is as much a reflection of the masses as it is of Google's presentation of the 'news'. Which, of course, is really not anything we all (here) didn't already know. Sad, really....
