I like mutual funds myself or ETF's. Emerging markets. Lots of upside potential.

I've had some success before with them but right now i'm sticking to gold and cash.

Yeah, I use some ETFs as well as individual stocks.

Always hard to find the bottom, but dollar cost averaging over some period of time can help mitigate buying too early.
