Glenn Beck-Thanks for the great interview

I don't think Glenn was trying to smear him. The questions he asked are precisely the kind of thing I could see any skeptical but interested American asking.

I wrote him an e-mail thanking him for the fair interview, and easing his concerns about internet bullies.

In this and many other interviews, Ron Paul comes off as spontaneous...saying what he is thinking. In other venues, this has been detrimental in that he doesn't have a polished, canned sound bite. This interview allowed him to present his views in a developed manner, conveying his message in a much more affective way.

I thought it was an excellent interview.

I, too, feel like sending Beck a thank you email, for doing a good and fair interview and giving Paul a chance to speak. :)

I think it's going to air one more time tonight? If so, I'll try to get my parents to watch it, they're still undecided and haven't seen much of Dr. Paul yet.

I have listened to Glenn for about 5 years now. I just discovered Ron Paul in May. Since then, it's been quite disheartening to hear Glenn say some of the things he has said not only of Paul but Paul supporters as a group. I hope that this interview results in a few things:

1) Glenn Beck quits the condescending snide remarks. 2) Ron Paul is allowed on his radio show that has many more listeners than his cable tv viewers for multiple visits leading up to the primaries 3) his listeners who have latched onto the neo-con movement are more open minded to his foreign policy message, at least to the point that they are not stuck under the false illusion that a policy of non-intervention will result in more domestic terrorism. Hopefully all of this results in more votes for our man in the primaries and the general election.

Overall, this was a great interview and I was kinda surprised (even though I shouldn't have been) by Glenn's respectfullness to Ron considering what he has said when not face to face.

And in the general scheme of things, despite a dismissive national press, I am starting to see some remarkable things happen in my own little circle of the world. From relatives, to some of my wife's co-workers, to seeing more and more bumper stickers, to local radio, to my local meetup group and more.....He's catchin' on, I'm tellin ya!!!

We need to focus our positive energy on supporting Glenn Beck. He had an absolute love-fest for Ron Paul on his show and we need to encourage this correct behavior.

Here was my email to Glenn Beck...feel free to re-use it so we can bombard his inbox with praise for exhibiting the right behavior.

Glenn,

I really appreciate the fair coverage you gave to Ron Paul. You are the first journalist of high merit to give Ron Paul the opportunity to speak and you are now a hero to the American people.

I used to rather dislike you due to the comments you made about Paul, but since your coverage on 12-18-2007 I will buy your book for my Dad as a Christmas present, we will watch your show every night and support your sponsors (I will be calling American Express tonight to tell them that I saw them advertise on your wonderful show) and we will support you with overwhelming people power. I am not alone there are thousands of people

Please have Ron Paul back on your show so we can continue our support of you Glenn…I respect you for having a change of heart, not many people are this open-minded.

Best Regards,

This was a fantastic interview.

Thank you Glenn Beck... a fair shot, great questions, and a great opportunity to address the issues.

Great interview - I hope he has him on again so the Dr. can explain how he would replace the FBI and CIA. :D

What a damn good interview. Ron was able to get his points across and there was really no argueing or debating.

Glenn did a great job with the questions and agreed with, I would say, 80%.

Thanks Glenn for the fair interview.

I vote for another 60 minutes so Dr. Paul can tell, 'the rest of the story'... other than that, I have viewed it twice and I believe it is a very positive interview.

Same here.

I'm watching it now, and it's pretty good.

I can't see how you guys can complain about this! Beck has a ridiculous amount of viewers and is heavily heavily syndicated :) This can only help us.

I wouldn't call it great. Beck was clearly trying to smear Paul with the threat thing. That, or Beck just lied to boost his ratings. Like it has been pointed out that the maker of the video (apparently ronpaul2016 on youtube) isn't actually a Ron Paul supporter. You can clearly see that from what is written on the bio and from the favorite videos, which consist solely of anti-Paul videos. So Beck didn't bother doing ANY research. Also, there is NO WAY that Beck was provided SWAT team protection without there being a full-blown investigation. And assuming this video was the only threat, then it would have been cleared up in about 30 minutes.

And another thing. Paul didn't really get to speak freely. Beck kept interrupting him with the usual 'time to move along' butt-ins. While not severe, they did mess with the flow of the answers.

Aaaand... Beck's questions were hardly good. They were mainly monologues with ill-fitting question marks at the end.

'My life was just threated by someone who has no connection to you. Any thoughts on that?'
'Umm... call the police?'

You can listen and call into his radio show for free here, the show starts in 45 minutes... I'm guessing that he will talk about the interview... and if he doesn't I'm sure we can call and direct the conversation in that direction...
