Glenn on his show today said one of his questions to Ron Paul will be:
If we pull our troops out from everywhere, how would it "magically" solve our problems with the "islamofacists"?
Another question will be how do we Ron help out Israel if they come under a heavy attack?

A couple of callers expressed a similar concern about islamofacism. This is our main stumbling block to opening the floodgates of Republican mainstream voters for Ron Paul.

So Ron, heads up. Have a good, clear answer to convert these future voters!!!!! This show could be HUGE!

Grassroots contest: Who can come up with the most convincing, clear, and concise argument to address this EXTREMELY COMMON concern of Republican voters?

EASY one for Ron. Because, we will no longer be holding them on a leash.

As to pulling our troops...It won't be magical and it will take time. HOWEVER...It is not the Osama bin Laden's we need to worry about with this policy. It is John Q Muslim in Saudi Arabia who would rather ignore the US, but, can't because of the base. So, Osama can preach to him and call on THAT anger to get John Q to do something he never would otherwise.

I will add that surprisingly, Glenn Beck already conceded on his show that the founding fathers guidelines DID want us to take a Switzerland-like approach to foreign policy. So it looks like Glenn Beck is not that far off; but probably believes "everything changed" with 9/11.

That's a great start. Other things to mention....
Strong borders and enforcing VISAs will help stem domestic terrorism
Letter of Marque to finish off Bin Laden and other terrorists

Mentioning those makes it obvious that Ron Paul is not just a "peace lover"; but that he will address threats and be strong on defense. Republicans love a "strong America".

I don't think RP will have any problem with those questions. I have heard him answer them many times.

it won't. but it'll dramatically reduce the incentive for otherwise normal Muslims to radicalize against who they see as occupiers, and to commit suicide terrorism against us. if we're not there, they're going to fight who they see as corrupt in their own region. not US.

When you cannot find a flaw in a proposed policy, look for a flaw in the transition from current flawed policy to the correct policy.

"If we end the income tax, how would it "magically" solve our problems with the "economy"?

"If we get rid of the fed, how would it "magically" solve our problems with the "dollar"?

etc...

When they reach this point you know you have won.

RE: how leaving reduces terrorism:
I don't think it's far-fetched to issue a worldwide statement such as:
"Our years of intervention have been proved contrary to the feelings of the public in the United States. Please accept our apologies for past meddling and also our promise to leave you to your own destiny. Previous administrations were drunk with the power the President of the United States is inherently and mistakenly given. This administration promises to abide by the law of our land and the law of self-determination."
Basically, by that point Dr. Paul (and we) would have convinced the country that non-intervention and free trade is the way to go. The same logic applies to the rest of the world.

These do seem like very common questions he gets asked. I REALLY hope he goes into how this will help us fight the Islamofascists. Basically undermining their support by removing the fuel that angers the people living in that country. Marginalization by illegitimatizing the justifications, and efficient surgical strikes against identified threat (not nation building).

Israel has 200+ Nukes herself. Whoever messes with Israel faces nuclear anihilation. Is that convincing enough?

The key is very simple, succinct answers:

If we pull our troops out from everywhere, how would it "magically" solve our problems with the "islamofacists"?

"Islamofacists" do not hate nor attack Switzerland. Why?

Another question will be how do we Ron help out Israel if they come under a heavy attack?

With 200+ nuclear bombs, why does Israel need our help?

I think this is a great question. It allows Dr. Paul to explain what ELSE needs to be done besides leaving Iraq to fix our foreign policy. Too often, the discussion stalls on what happens with Iraq and doesn't advance beyond that. Following the liberals suggestion of "immediate withdraw then maintain status-quo" is absolutely not going to cut it. By connecting Iraq with changes in our foreign policy abroad, many people will find the answer to the question: "will they follow us home."
