It was a great swearing in ceremony, a little confusing at first - half of us thought it was supposed to be inside. I wanted to be outside by the flagpoles.

Someone said "you have to come inside, and you have to go through security." Wow, I nearly blew a fuse. Seriously, can you imagine me going through TSA-like BS the get sworn in? really?

In short order, our party was outdoors, but then I had to run back to the car to get the text of the swearing in ceremony. I'd never done this before but it had never occurred to me that Judges just don't have that stuff on them. LOL

Ran back to the ceremony, my mother Jacque is holding the Bible, and if you notice the little book on top it is the US Constitution I was given in South Carolina and signed by Ron Paul in 2008. :)

Beneath the monkey suit, I was also wearing my Ron Paul Revolution Continues shirt.

I must have gotten angrier than I thought after refusing to go through security to get sworn in, after we were done and headed to the reception, the security guard came out to apologize, and I had to explain that it wasn't him, but the system that was at fault.

Congratz, Glen!

Edit- Why the new account?

Either Way, +rep

It's the account for blogging and sharing,
and for the stuff that should really be searchable on a name search.

RPF's are going to be a lot higher on the local radar now, and I certainly want to see Ron Paul win the oval office in 2012. :)

Thanks!

If you see that little hard-back beside my hand on the Bible, that's the Constitution signed by Ron Paul.

Inside that book was the Constitution from 2008, on top facing the title page is a sticker I made in 2005 before I even heard of Ron Paul, and tucked behind that is the GOP Voter Registration Card from December of 2007, on the day before deadline for the 2008 GOP Convention cycle to stand and be a delegate for Ron Paul.

Congrats Glen. I really got a little teary - I can't imagine how your Mom must feel. Are all those people there to see you?

Yeah, all those people came out to see me. I should have done it the other way, between the big white columns, but it was my first time and I didn't know any better. There were at least 5 more that didn't make it into the crowd shot, so it was a good turnout for the weather - another good 5 people couldn't make it because of literally dire road condition predictions. We got that ice tonight, a half inch of sleet so far stacked up everywhere you look. I might not make the office in the morning, so my 10AM will just have to reschedule...

Yes. I am the proudest Mom in the world. This is a very special man we have here. The crowd was great. I believe we had about 40 people. The Judge even came to the reception.
