It was a great swearing in ceremony, a little confusing at first - half of us thought it was supposed to be inside. I wanted to be outside by the flagpoles.
Someone said "you have to come inside, and you have to go through security." Wow, I nearly blew a fuse. Seriously, can you imagine me going through TSA-like BS the get sworn in? really?
In short order, our party was outdoors, but then I had to run back to the car to get the text of the swearing in ceremony. I'd never done this before but it had never occurred to me that Judges just don't have that stuff on them. LOL
Ran back to the ceremony, my mother Jacque is holding the Bible, and if you notice the little book on top it is the US Constitution I was given in South Carolina and signed by Ron Paul in 2008.
Beneath the monkey suit, I was also wearing my Ron Paul Revolution Continues shirt.
I must have gotten angrier than I thought after refusing to go through security to get sworn in, after we were done and headed to the reception, the security guard came out to apologize, and I had to explain that it wasn't him, but the system that was at fault.
