Anyone else see his show? He was railing about the nanny state and talking about personal liberties and the constitution. He specifically mentioned no republican candidate was willing to stand up for it.

I about freaked. How in the hell did he forget about RP? I've seen him talk about RP's stand on the constitution before so was really bewildered when he said that.

It got even weirder cause after that he started mentioning all of our problems, the same problems RP is saying, and never once said his name.

It was like he didn't exist in his mind anymore.

It is not just that one show, or even just Glenn Beck.

Today, I listened to Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich arguing about conservatism, and the discussion went essentially in the same direction. I have noticed this repeatedly on the conservative shows over the last several months.

97% of the ideology they claim to support is what Ron Paul actually does support. And when they ignore his presence or worse label him as a "fringe, wacko, conspiracy theorist, paranoid, rascst" they are damaging, and discrediting themselves.

This is one of the primary reasons I believe the Republican Party may be permanently fracturing.

On a side note, I heard Libertarian presidential candidate George Phillies speak last weekend, and I was pretty disgusted. Let's just say he didn't seem committed to free-market solutions. If that is the direction the LP is going Murray Rothbard must be spinning in his grave.

Just one more reason we have to look to methods other than winning elections to achieve our goals.
